Don't get me wrong, I love the flicks. Let's face it - not entirely original.
1) William Gibson. They better be paying him some type of homage.
PS - JIM D - Where you been? you know who this is!

Ha Ha an LA Hooker. Thats funny.
As my first post since the old board went down I'll make it a long one.
First nothing is orginal anymore I think we just have to accpet that. The only orignal is when you combine ideas to make the alittle diffrent. Like Zebras and Fruit. Fruit Zebras two ideas that were there but are now Shiny and New.
Second
Star Wars
King Arthur (take your pick of the many books)
The Bible
Almost every philoshper from germany and Japan ever mentioned in my philosphy class.
X-Files
Batman
Superman
Jack Kirbys New Gods
Terminator 1 and 2 (Robots take over the world)
Star Trek (THe Matrix is a low tech Holo Deck)
More Philosphers Tharue (SP) comes to mind
Ghost in the shell.
Saved by the Bell the new class (Well i know when i watch that show I want "Guns, lots of guns")
Nice to see you posting here Destro100!
It's all Gibson and Sterling!
Well, most of it anyway...
It kills me when people proclaim it's the "most original thing to come around this century!"
Man, I want some of what they're smoking.
William Gibson deserves some sort of credit, It's a damn shame.
