I'm not feeling SIX FEET UNDER yet this season

Anyone else watching? For some reason, I just don't really care about any of the characters any more. I don't know...is the show somehow different than before? It just feels dour and depressing and everyone is somehow tedious to me. Is it James Cromwell's ear hair? The idea of getting a blow job while blood is gurgling out of a morgue drain? Rico being stupid with this stripper? The annoying Mena Suvari being annoying? Not sure what it is, but I'm not into it at all right now.

I'm a season behind. I didn't have cable for a while and now I'm lost. I caught the second half of the premiere and tried to pick up what I could. I hated what they did to Brenda's character in the second season so I hope they fixed that a little.
