Don't know what you guys think but this guy is just getting better and better just got through Phone Booth outstanding performance.
He has managed to upstage the likes of Tom Cruise in Minority Report and Pacino in his recent picture The Recruit.
I thought his performance in Tigerland was fantastic reminded me alot of Richard Gere in an officer and a Gentleman.
Could become the next Pacino, De Niro etc what do you think? Anyone have any news on his future projects?

What, you want him to become a great actor who eventually just becomes a parody of his former self...?
I love Ferrel, think he's just great.

I think Colin Ferrel is a good actor, but from interviews on TV I also think he's an arrogant, cocky bastard. This can only lead to him fading from the public limelight as public discontent for his attitude increases.

A lot of people agree with you, although I've never gotten that impression...I will tell you that I worked with (read: near) him on two pics and in person he's very funny and extremely friendly to all from the honchos to the lowest Production Assistant (read: gofer). He's also big gossip which was great fun for us! In the talent department, I've seen few as focused and he has a huge range, two things you usually find in actors with staying power...I only hope he has continued luck in choosing appropriate roles.

He sure did make the most out of his part in Daredevil. That guy can chew the scenery like a mofo.
He's a good actor. If he plays his cards right, he can have a long career in the business.
His interviews/appearances though... I don't think I would like him dating/marrying any of my sisters.
If that man runs around as much as I hear, he'd better watch it or little Farrell will fall off and turn to a pile of ashes!
Then again, it appears he's a fun guy to be with, depending on what your idea of "fun" is...
Did I mention he's a good actor? /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

yeah he's a good actor, but like you already said his "pump em` and dump em" attitude could land him in alot of trouble if he doesn't stop it. Or just discourage people using him in their films with all the bad publicity he gets.

I find Farrell's in-your-face honesty about his sexual and drinking exploits refreshing. It's "hard to be a saint in the city", but so few people are willing to admit they enjoy the life and the perks that come with it. I don't see his attitude losing him jobs. Instead, I see his bad-boy persona taking him farther than playing the Mr. Nice-Guy route.
Guys will view him as the drinking buddy they wish they had (or do), and gals will view him as the bad boy they can't help but be attracted to.

have to agree with Zen there unlike a lot of men at least he's open and honest about the fact that he drinks lots and sleeps around...
the talents there and i think he's great....plus that accent *swoon*
Nah, been there, done that.
Got tired of that type of life.
That empty feeling does rear it's ugly head sooner or later.
Living where I live, it's too easy to get caught up in that lifestyle. Still love to have fun, I just don't run around with my dick in my hands like some of my friends still do.
He has to use a thing called tact, it helps. He does'nt have to talk about it every time his mug is on some talk show or whatnot.
Remember those types of guys at the office/job that constantly talk about their sexual escapades wether it was real or not? He's becoming that guy...
Hey, Farrell might enjoy the rest of his days waking up with another "flavor of the night", or he might get hitched up one day, have little Farrell's running around...Irish accents and all /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

He was great in the recruit. But so was Al.
Oh my God...
They just had a product placement ad on SNL for "Colin Farrell's Anti-Bacterial gential cream", "For when you don't know where you put it the night before"... /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Look out for Ben Chaplin as a possible Brosnan replacement in a few years. He has the looks and the personality to pull it off and as a TV actor who is relatively unknown, as was Brosnan , Dalton and Lazenby. Heed my words.

yeah Ben Chaplin would make a good Bond...been a fan since the first series of Game On...it was never the same with the other guy although everyone i know who use to watch it disagrees...blah! what do they know!
i heard a rumour about Christian Bale being up for the role which i think would be interesting to see

Yeah I know what you are saying about Game On although I didn't mind too much the other guy. As for Christian Bale I can't see that happening as I don't think Bond's sex appeal will by as high as normal when he starts violating the Bond girls with coat hangers.
