Ray Charles died this morning (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040610/ap_en_mu/obit_charles_14)
Sad news. Automatically cool for being in Blue Brothers plus the fact that he was an amazing musician. Must listen to his greatest hits now.
So, that's 2 gone with Reagan, who will be the third?

Very sad news. He will be missed. This has been a sad week for Americans, well, people all over the world really. My best go out to all effected by this. A little something to remember him by:

Really sad news.
I am a jazz music fan, as well a musician myself and I had huge respect for Ray Charles. I found out by reading your post and i almost cried. The music industry has lost a legend, a man who will always be a legend.
R.I.P. Ray Charles. Respect. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

This is the kind of loss that diminishes us all. He was truly a great artist.

Tony Randall died a couple of weeks ago. Maybe Ray was #3. It's been a really sad week. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

Unfortunately for the world artists such as Ray Charles and his contempories in the world of Jazz, Blues,Soul etc are not being replaced well enough by up and coming young artists playing the same genres. The music is slowly dying out and i'm saddened to think that when I'm old and grey this music will only exist in recordings
RIP RAY and THE BLUES
