At war? Are you still telling that lie?

I'm sorry are you one of those peace freaks?

No, I am one of those people who thinks you are making up this story about being "at war".

What is your unit? MOS? Where are you currently stationed? Who can I contact to confirm your claims? Rank? Wannabe... or BTDT (I know the answer to this one already)?

The thing is you don't sound like someone in the armed forces. The first rule of spotting a "faker" is:

Does this person sound like he is the real deal?

You certainly do not.

Fine you want comformation . OK I am at RAF Det Al Kharj in Saudi Arabia or as the americans call it PSAB ( Prince Sultan Air Base) If u want me to confirm it send me an email to rafsupply14@psab.af.mil and i'll gladly show you 'them apples'. My rank is SAC or Senior Aircraftsman if you prefer you wanker. You know you bust be the most evenly balance human being ever coz you seem to have a chip on both shoulders. Now if you could do us all a favour and climb down off that pedestal you have set yourself up on and maybe become a tad more civil to the rest of us then maybe people won't be ignoring this good site because they see your condescending comments everywhere.

I have no doubt that you are in the military... I confirmed that from your IP address. I should have done that before asking you for confirmation. That was a mistake.

As for being "tad more civil"... I have been far more civil than you lately.

Tongue, I may not like you for trying to muscle into my territory, but I [censored]' respect the hell out of you now.

And RB, I hope you don't trip doing all that backtracking.

Razorback

Backtracking? Didn't I just admit to being wrong?

Man, he must've gotten you good. I wish Ryall could see you backtrack like this.

He didn't "get me" anything. I realized that I had made a mistake and admitted to it. He didn't send me any proof (other than that post). I checked with some people "in the know" who did not confirm anything he said but when I ran a tracert on his IP it was clear that he was posting from a military facility (an American one it seems). Instead of going back and forth demanding proof about exactly where he was and what he was doing there and then going into some deeper investigation into his service and blah blah blah, I decided to just own up to my mistake and move on from it.

No, he got you.

Razorback

Ok, if it makes you happy then he got me.

In any event, I don't like to publicly attack service people and so I am sorry that I did with Tongue.

And the question arises...are you a former military man yourself RB, or just a hobbyist? {not a sarcastic question, just a curious one}

Razorback

I am neither. My only service was with the Red Cross but many of my friends are current and former military. I respect those in the armed forces (US, UK... any of our allies) very much and have "outed" a few fakers in the past (or helped in doing so).

There are signs to someone faking their service or level of service and some of those things popped up here. I was so sure that he was either lying or kidding that I dove into an empty pool head first and cracked my skull open.

I mean... I could have asked him a ton of questions like:

Which runway number do aircrafts take off from at KKIA or even KAIA? Which compound does he live in at Riyadh? What the difference between Dharan and Damman? Which city is KFIA in?

But I figured it was pointless. He probably knows all of that stuff.

You could have asked those questions and I wouldn't have had a clue to most of them as they refer to American bases in the Gulf. The British forces are not always based in the same places. As for which compound in Riyadh, at this present moment in time I am rather relieved to say I am not in Riyadh but about an hour's journey away. 70 dead at last count. We are at full alert here. Not fun.

I thought maybe that you were using one of the US facilities for Internet access since I understand that they have a few of those and that the Brits use them too.

Anyway, glad that you are not where the attacks occured and thank you for your service.
