Oh, man there's all kinds of good stuff on there. They're re-running Band of Brothers, and that's a great show, Is R. Lee Emery's Mail Call on that channel? History's Mysteries is a good show. There is also a show, who's name i can't remember, that takes a "historic" movie and compares it with actual history. I saw the "Patton" episode and it was really good.

I watched that last night- kick ass! They were also running a series called "The Greatest Raids" which was pretty damn cool- the Desert Raiders, the Dam Busters, and the British-trained Norwegians who went in and blew the shit out of Hitler's heavy water production sites... Very cool shows. Made me want to go out and re-enlist.

Mark, sweetie, next time you watch Tales of the Gun watch the credits. My name is on all, but maybe 10 of them.

I was the tape logger/post production assistant on the entire first and second season. I was a researcher on the third and forth season. I have tons of stories including one that involves almost burning down the Baretta factory in Italy. Which ones are your favorite? I'm sure I'll have a story for them or at least about the people that made them.

We started to make a drinking game for them as well.

There are very few shows on the History Channel that don't tickle my fancy. I caught a little bit of "Color of War" before last night's "Band of Brothers". Fascinating. I knew a man who flew P-51s in the 8th Air Force who had home movies from England that were in color. It was really cool to see. I also have some pictures of me at about 8 years old in his flight suit, which is now in the Smithsonian.
I am wetting myself in anticipation of the D-Day programming. Towel? Anyone? /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
