I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it wasn't half-bad (ducks head to avoid flying detritus). I actually laughed a good few times during the episode.

I think they managed to avoid much of the maudlin sentimentality that has plagued this season (or at least they made it funnier).

Your thoughts?

I watched it up until the first commercial...so say for about 5 minutes. During the first commercial break, there was a quick blip about how The Chronicles of Riddick trailer was online now and I left the television behind.

I watched the whole thing, and I got to say, they could have handled the Ross/Rachel thing better.
*Spoilers ahead*

I knew that once she left a message on his machine she was gonna come back. I was expecting her the whole time to appear behind him when he didn't expect it. My way was more exciting. The twins however, that caught me. I was like, damn.

CSI was pretty good tonight.

I TiVo'd it and just got done watching it after seeing Shrek 2 (good, but cut the stupid music numbers!) and...yeah. I now hate FRIENDS.

I used to like it but the last couple seasons, whenever I watched it, I could feel it sucking my soul through the TV. The forced, unfunny situations...man, every time I watched it I felt a little bit worse about myself and tonight was no different. What a stupid-ass ending. The whole airport thing? The race to the airport? The wrong airport? The entire time Ross was begging her to stay, finally -- somehow, he left everything unsaid until the end even though he yelled at her for that last week -- I was praying she'd get on the plane and escape that schmuck.

I realize it's a sitcom and they have to force in these dumb, cliched situations (well, they don't have to but they inevitably always do), but still.

Ugh ugh ugh.

Run, Jen Aniston, and never look back.

Evidently Kevin and Affleck show up on Leno tonight, though? Might have to give that a look even though I think Stuttering John is a horrible fit on that show.

Wow, I sound bitter, huh? I liked Shrek, though. A very good "horse walks into a bar" joke in that movie.

Well, I had to work tonight, so I set my DVR. So, I decided not to eat dinner like I usually do to get home and watch some 'Friends.'

As I started the show, I sat through it and kept thinking how incredibly insane the writers were in writing the last episode of the show that made me somewhat laugh throughout the years. I was pissed at the idea that they made this show really stupid and how lame and dumb Joey is now (Oh god and to think NBC gave him his own show. Bless me now father).

*SPOIL...oh hell, you will all hear about it anyways*

Well, it switches to the scene where Ross is checking his answering machine freaking out if Racheal is going to get off the plane...and she does and they tell they love each other and kiss and right at a good part the damn DVR stops.

Am I mad? no not really. Am I sad? No, not really. Am I glad it is finally over, Yeah. It was time. But, thats really what I thought of the show. It was a funny show, but I enjoyed 'Sex and the City' more than this and even though 'Sex' had a corny ending, it still made me laugh more than this piece of junk.

And Chris, glad to hear about your liking of Shrek 2, but I would be in a mood quite like yours if I had to sit through the rest of this show. Can't wait to see Shrek, looks adorable (and we all know how much I like 'adorable' flicks like Shrek).

I think that Stuttering John is a bad fit for the show... but he is a good guy (met him a few times at some local events) and I am glad that he ended up with a good gig. The guy has worked his ass off to get to where he is. Hopefully the Tonight Show doesn't catch on to how much he doesn't fit with the show. Not sure that Howard would take him back to his.

There were no hockey finals last night and discovery was doing a show about tattooed freaks so I eneded up watching a few minutes before remembering why I stopped watching it 3 or 4 years ago. That and those dirty dishes in the sink weren't going to wash themselves.

It seemed to me to be more like a season finale rather than a series finale. The thing that really surprised me was that they played a Pearl Jam song, and Yellow Ledbetter even. Other than that, nothing to write home about...just something to write on moviepoopshoot about.

That leaves an opening to squeeze a reunion show through. They've already offered them 4,000,000 each to do one.

4 million is a lot for a reunion show or movie that might end up like 'The Facts of Life' or the 'Growing Pains' ones. *shudders*

D did the same thing with her TiVo- luckily, she also taped E.R., so we got the end of Friends and the funniest joke in the whole episode (the whole "on a break" thing). Otherwise, I thought the show was pretty damn unfunny- coasting along...just like the last 2 seasons. The retrospective was likely a lot funnier.

They should have at least warned us that it would be longer so I could record it, but I'm glad i didn't have to sit through the whole thing at least. I couldn't handle it anymore.

I'm just wondering who is crazy enough to buy the series finale on DVD when it comes out next week.

Was ER new last night?

Btw, how do you like the OC? /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

You should set your TiVo to "pad" important things so you don't miss the first and last few minutes, if it's that important.

ER WAS new last night- that Bend it like Beckham chick is hot!

And, I love the O.C., although it's been murderously hot so far. Drove up to San Diego to see a buddy on Wednesday- that is a beautiful city and a nice drive, too...

I don't have TiVo, I have a DVR, which is cheaper than TiVo from what I hear. But, eh, it will do. I have to read the manual on how to use the whole thing. I just figured out how to work the machine on my own cause I don't need no stinkin' manual.

I should have recorded ER, I haven't watched that show in ages.

(Pssst! It's actually "drove DOWN to San Diego..." Unless you're coming from Tijuana, Mexico, that is. Just trying to help so people don't immediately mark you as an "outsider." Another important way to assimilate is to embrace the goodness that is Wahoo's Fish Tacos.)

Yeah the show really wasn't funny at all really, maybe a couple of humorous scenes with Phoebe or Joey. I actually liked the Will and Grace season finale better though, and I don't even like that show much. Then again I only liked it because Karen had a pretty hilarious quote.

Karen: Then I told him that on my 4th wedding it was always my dream to walk down the aisle to Sympathy for the Devil by The Rolling Stones.

Jack: But Karen, isn't that traditionally the 5th wedding?

Karen: Oh Jack, no, the 5th wedding is Smack My Bitch Up by Prodigy.

I laughed my ass off. Both of those songs kick ass.

I never really cared for the show, so I didn't watch the finale.

I heard a rumour that there was supposed to be another scene at the end of the show but they didnt do it because it was too hard emotionally for certain cast members. Im guesing Aniston because apparently she cryed her eyes out on oprah the next day.
