Alright, folks. I don't know who's into techno or electronic music, but the Detroit Electronic Music Festival is coming to town the weekend of May 29, 30, 31. The festival goes on for all three days in Hart Plaza, running from about 12PM TO 10PM with multiple acts on multiple stages. It's 100% FREE (the only things that cost money are souveniers and the after-parties), and normally draws a somewhat daunting crowd of all types of people. You can check out the pre-site here. (http://www.movementfestival.com)
I don't normally go all three days, but kind of pick and choose. If anyone's interested, we should discuss and set something up. As far as sleeping and/or party arrangements go at my apartment, I have a roommate and would have to clear it. Otherwise, hotels are a viable option.
Discuss...
I had a movement festival this morning not long after i woke up.

Festival? I've always preferred the term 'extravaganza'.

You may talk me into it, but I am going to bring a date. What is Efexeye doing that weekend...OH WAIT! Living in pathetic bliss in the O.C. with a certain lady friend. Dammit dammit!

Sorry Denyse, I didn't see you there. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

[/ QUOTE ] Believe it or don't believe it, I almost put that in the original post, but I thought nobody would actually read about the real festival if they started thinking it was all about.......fiber, or something.
Zens:
I don't know about Efexeye and/or Denyse. I was kind of hoping this post would get noticed. He asked me about it when I talked to him just before he moved, and said he was interested in coming back for it. Guess we'll have to see if the bow-chica-bow-wow slows down a bit before then. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
Also, all dates are welcome.
Obviously, hotels downtown are going to be a bit pricey and will also be getting booked up. We could consider places a bit north of Detroit (closer to Pontiac, which also has a ton of clubs, pubs and bars, and is also about half-way to where I live if we decided to go there), and possibly save some money.

Well, I think I have to pay for a ticket to go to my little brother's high school graduation in June, so, I don't think the DEMF is going to be in the budget- but take pictures, I wanna see Hart plaza full of ravers!
