This is why these Newbs are stupid, non of there schools money is going towards English or math. Here is an Example at a local Fort Worth School

So a local man (names withheld) became the Head Football coach at a nearby town with a less than steller football team. The man gets 68,000 a year (and thats STARTING PAY!). Guess how much that same schools head Math Teacher makes? 38,000 a year. And has been with the school for 15 years, and is a Doctor in Mathamatics

Also this same school is consdered a poor district, so it gets Robin Hood money, for you non-texans The Robin Hood program is a program in Texas where they take money from schools with lots of money (normally gained from high property taxes) and they give it smaller/poorer schools. Only problem, the money can be spent on whatever the school wishes. So about 20 k went from my former High School, to this very same School. They built a new score board. a 20k score board. No books, no new teacher (other than the over payed coach)

When you wonder why your kids(or newbs) are so dumb, and its so hard to find good teachers, just remeber, you have a PHD in MATH but you still only make 10 thousand a year more than the janitor who doesnt speak english and throws out the trash

You kick ass.

I'm going to be an English teacher, so that really kind of speaks of my future. Maybe when I'm an english teacher I can teach these newbie mother [censored] how to construct a coherent sentence.

Excellent point but in the Uk all teachers are paid the same amout and they are still mainly shit teachers who would be screwed without text books.

I don't see your point with this. I mean, Football is something that lasts for ever, when was the last time you read something. It's all about priorities. I think they should have spent another 20g's on that fat new artificial turf that feels more like real grass.

I think the best line I ever heard of about US education was some discussion at state level in the south and and they were debating introducing compulsory French lessons.

A rather round gentleman in a white suit stood up and in a heavy accent said "If English was good enough for Jesus, its good enough for us."

It may be a fabrication, and the source escapes me, but I like it none the less. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Now they say "if Spanish is good enough for Jesus (pronounced Hey-Suess) it's good enough for us."
Rome, Georgia now has a higher percentage of hispanics than any city in the U.S.

Well, you could never be wrong Razorback, perhaps you should watch Jay and Silent Bob Strike back and learn something about a life spent on forums. Perhaps you have a little too much time on your hands? Could you put this time to some wholesome and productive use?

And here was me thinking this might acutally be an interesting forum. Bye.

You mean there is a life outside of the forums? I can't just sit here and post all day? I have to do something else? Wow!
