The Doors Cafe is pretty cool- just wander around the Red Light District and you'll find it. Oh, and the Heinekin Brewery- take the tour.

I was in Amsterdam back in '99.
A great place indeed!
They have some amazing art, don't pass it up. There's so many museums, it's wonderful. I loved Rembrandt huis(house). Rijiks was a lot of fun too.
For the most part, it really is a beautiful city. The canals and little bridges that crossed them are so nice.
Take a boat ride on the canals, but don't take those cheesy glass-roofed ones for a ride. Instead, take one on one of the smaller types. It's so much more personal.
One drawback about the canals at that time was the occasional smell. When I was there, they were still dumping some raw sewage in places, but that was being stopped when I visited. It should be fine by now.
There's a large range of foods to eat, try them all, but don't forget to have some fries when You're there...sooooo tasty! Try the herring too. They also have some awesome indonesian and malaysian cusine. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Watch Youself in the red light district. There's a lot of crime there. Keep an eye out for those damn junkies! Especially at night. Those scumbags try to mug anyone. I had to handle a couple and made them see the error of their ways. Try to go in a group if possible. To be honest, I really did'nt like the red light. I'm not into the hooker/sex show thing...it's a pretty sad life and I did'nt want any part of it.

"Coffeshops"... oh the coffeshops... I loved them.
If Your underage, I don't want to be part of the "corruption" of a minor, but I'll say this: Be careful. Be very, very careful if You decide to smoke some weed and hash. Be extremely careful if You eat the "space cake" and other treats that are cooked with herb!!! I can't stress that enough! You can trip on it and end up in a very bad place. Most of our herb still does'nt hold it's own against theirs. And I've had some greatest shit available in the U.S.A.!!! The THC count in dutch weed is amazing! You can buy some lower grade stuff there, but there's no reason to.

With that said, they do have the best bud and hash in the world. It's absolutely-fuckin-amazing! Prices are good, but You can end up spending quite a bit of money on certain grades/types though. Don't waste Your time smoking the kif. Unless You're into smoking hash and tobacco mixed together. Some places to check out are "The Bluebird", "The Noon", "Grey Area", and one of My favorites, "The Greenhouse", they have a couple of locations. The list goes on and on!
You can try out "the Bulldog", but I would'nt, it's too touristy and overrated.

Oh...and as was already suggested...go to the Heineken Brewery!!! You'll love the end of the tour! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

For the record, I don't smoke anymore. Felt it was time for a change and that time came one day. Although I had a lot of fun partaking of the holy herb, I feel a lot better not doing it these days.
If one decides to smoke, I won't stop them. That's their choice. It is bad to overuse it though. It really clouds the mind and body. I guess the "everything in moderation" saying is true after all.

More than likely it involves swelling and redness, and since you smoke weed, a hard time breathing. Im sure its pretty bad. The smoke also probably makes her nauseous and her eyes swell up. Its probably not like being high at all, in fact it probably sucks
