I've been scarce again. What's been going on in your lives? And by your, I mean the people here I would recognize...
And if your life is boring and there's nothing going on, just talk about Zim, that's just as good to me.
Eh... not too much on My end.
I'm starting a new job on Monday. Hope it works out.
Nothing special really, office work and such. My master plan is to work there six to twelve months, then go back to school. Don't know if it will be evenings and weekends or full time, school wise that is.
Also thinking about going into the Military reserves(Marines or Army). Not sure if My knee can handle it though. Have to check with the good doctor on that one.
Hmmm...besides that, It's pretty boring around here in this Florida town I live in. I dearly miss the goings on in NYC. Blah.
So, what's going on in Your life Affleckie? /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

I miss New York a lot too. Chicago is cold and it's going to be cold for a while still.
I'm busy, bored and bitchy. Nothing ever changes with me. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
So, what makes you want to join the service? I tried, but they didn't want me because I have diabetes. I was going to go into the Air Force. Funny how things change.

Same old stuff... but at least I still live in a great place right next to the greatest city in the world. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Hello Affleckie...
Today I went to the Samsung/Radioshack 500 outside Dallas. Even though I know very little about Nascar, it was still a great time. Tired, slightly sunburnt, beer soaked, and ready for bed already. /forums/images/icons/blush.gif
Tommorrow I go back to work.

You are so lucky! That is a great track too. Awesome finish. Did you get free stuff? What is Nextel giving away?

I didn't pick up any stuff, because I hate carrying things in large crowds.
It was an absolutlely BEAUTIFUL day outside. 75 degrees, no humidity, and sunshine. My company has some deal with the Texas Motor Speedway, so they asked if I wanted to go. Never one to turn down something new I agreed, and I am glad I did. I do wish I knew more about the different racers. There was much talk about the young guy Kahne and his multiple second place finishes. I was rooting for him but not for a good reason. Close finish, not that I could see it.

Yeah, the rookie has had a couple of very close finishes in this early season. He is good, but he is also in a great car/team. As for not knowing much about the drivers, the default driver to root for is Dale Earnhardt Jr (if you didn't notice the 12 million people wearing Junior/Budweiser/#8 gear). /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

It's official, I cannot be a Earnhart fan. It isn't any fun to root for the default champ. Too many years of being a Cub fan will do that for you.

Yeah, but Dale Jr. is carrying on the legacy nicely. Being a Cubs fan, you should be rooting for Kyle Petty.

Exactly. At least Junior isn't falling on his face just as he is about to win. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Service to this country is the first and foremost. I've gotten so much from Her, it would be nice to be able to give something back.
If in the service should I should be called to fight for Her or God forbid, defend the soil We tread upon, I would do so willingly. Scared out of My wits, but none the less I would.
An opportunity to go to school on Uncle Sam's dollar is nice. To be able to work with some of the latest military technology is another reason. I can't go without mentioning that I'm quite interested in Military weaponry. Always have been, but in a good way, not the "I wanna blow everything up!" kind of way. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
There's more, But I don't want to bore You or anyone else...

I had a friend that was in the same situation.
On a side note, I noticed that the Military is letting more and more people in who wear glasses. It used to be much different not that long ago. I guess it's the fault of all that computer monitor watching and that darn internet! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Well, hey thanks for asking! Actually I've been sick as a dog for the past week but am starting to feel slightly better (no longer coughing up a lung!).
This Saturday I'll be moving into my new Bachelorette Pad - its been a long time coming I dont mind telling you! So I've been busy packing all this weekend.
Unfortunately, due to the move, I am broker than I've ever been (yes worse than after I got back from "The Tour" and didnt get paid for 3 weeks). I've had to buy a new couch, dining suite and fridge... and a tv (ok I didn't HAVE to buy the TV - but I did dammit!)
Also, just found out that I have a 5 page treatment and pitch due for uni tomorrow morning. Its gonna be a looooooong night. /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

Zens, what the heck are you doing in Dallas anyway?
And ozchick, hope you feel better soon. Good luck with the new place. I get overly excited about moving, which is odd since I do it so much.

I've been dealing with my computer falling apart (bad) and playing around with the DVD burner I got to back up my files (good). Yesterday was the probably the first day in awhile that I was up before my suitemates, who are usually so damn noisy in the morning that I can never fall back asleep. Well, as we all know, yesterday we pushed the clocks ahead, and since I had to get up at 7 for work, it felt like 6 to them. Luckily, 2 of my suitemates fell asleep on couches in our common room, where I keep my sound system (note: loud). Since I have this new DVD burner and a fresh spindle of CD-Rs, I decided to burn a polka disc real quick and play it in the living room... at about the highest volume level. I took all the remotes out of the room so they couldn't turn the damn thing off right away. I cued up the CD player with its remote, hit play, and let the wake up call begin. Needless to say, they didn't think it was too funny. Actually, once they recognized the loud blaring noise was polka, they had a good laugh.
