I skateboard. Actually I don't. Did once when I was 8 but that was back in the 80's. Actually I found it pointless. Now cow-tipping THAT was entertainment. Shall I be the 1st to point out he's posted in the wrong forum???? No? OK i'll leave it for RB then

actually I think it should be here in the off topic, I used to skateboard on all fours when I was 8 and then I had started to stand on the thing by 10, skateboarding for me ended at 11 when I went downhil, hit a pothole in the slope and grinded the left side of my face off on gravel, I have a bald spot on my chin that irritates when I shave as a result and its never going to grow and beard there. Now I play Skateboarding computer games but its not the same.

My mistake. I take back my previous comment about being in the wrong forum.
I pretty much gave up on skateboarding around ....well actually about 10 mins after starting. I think I had more important things to concern myself with lik Racheal Garvey from down the road ......damn she was the finest 8yr old u could imagine ( It is at this point that I must stress that I was 8 as well). The funny thing is that ever since I have always been walking around with my arm around a woman while endless amounts of baggy shorted, baseball cap wearing skateboarders have been trying to impress each other with how 'whack' their moves are. They very rarely are seen walking with THEIR arms around a girl. Does this seem.....Unnatural to anyone????????

First off, I seem to remember "whack" being bad, uncool, "dude, that is SO whack." Maybe it was a regional thing.
Also, usually when you're on a skateboard it's tough to walk around with your arm around somebody. Usually when I skated I was skating to skate. I did other stuff to get girls' attention. I don't feel that every single thing one does in life has to be motivated by nookie.

But most things... I mean, what's the point of doing something semi-dangerous if you are not going to get some hot honey action from it? I broke a collar bone and fingers skateboarding... I would not have quit doing it if I had gotten some major action from that (granted I was 13 and 15 when those things happened).

I dont argue using what you do to get nookie, just using it as the motivation. I got into theater for girls, but once I found I enjoyed it I got better at it, and as a result had better confidence, did better with the ladies, yada yada. Same with film. If I didn't genuinely have the passion for making movies, I probably wouldnt get the people involved that I have, and that includes some cuties. I've found that anything done just to get chicks fails on some subtle level that winds up not impressing the ones worth going for.

I got into acting for the kissing scenes! When I didn't get to kiss anyone I quit. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I think you meant "Is there a smiley where the damn thing is laughing so hard that its head explodes?"

Why are you on a quest for 12,000 posts now? It used to be 1,000.
Razorback
05-05-2003, 11:58 PM
So you say... perhaps it said 1,000. We will never know... mwuahahahahaha!
Or maybe I just thought that 12,000 sounded better.

No, it said 1000. I think you just got nervous that that would come too soon.
Razorback
05-06-2003, 12:29 AM
I know it said 1,000. Like I said, 12,000 sounded better. As for getting nervous... not really. I thought it was going to be funny to have that sig and be at way over 1,000 posts.
I just like the sound (or read) of 12,000 more.

Hey, let's not all get so bogged down on this post-counting thing that we all get off-topic. Remember, skateboarding IS cool.
BrianLynch
05-06-2003, 12:38 AM
It really is. You know what else is cool? Is snowboarding. From what I hear.
Razorback
05-06-2003, 12:40 AM
If it was true I would have no problem admitting to it. If you don't like the truth then so be it. Enjoy your own version of my mindset.
Anyway, skateboarding is cool but it can also be painful. Whenever it rains or snows I am reminded of that. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

You know what sounds COOLER? 781 posts and permanent ban. Or, even better 781 posts and then deciding to not post in response to everything lest he scare away newcomers. Or 781 posts and posting HALF as much and enjoying sunlight. Or 781 posts and a quest for a long hug. That would endear you to the ladies.
Skateboarding is the coolest. Vespas are a close second.

Ban me... that will solve your issue.
RB
BrianLynch
05-06-2003, 12:50 AM
Well, I don't have the power to ban, and I appreciate your enthusiasm for the site...I will say, though, that I think maybe people refrain from posting because every time they come here they see your name and get annoyed and leave. Understand that if you respond to everything that some people might think this is simply THE RAZORBACK SHOW and not bother posting.

My rule is pretty much "if there's a board involved, it's cool."
Okay, back to ironing.

Curious. Anyway, back to ruling over space and time.

I love when people pick and choose what words in a sentence they want to hear. I have been told, by more than one person, that they come here, see your name over everything, and leave. If you are the last person that has posted, some people don't read it.

Don't overreact. Just don't post in response to every other post. It's that easy.
Or, you know, be a drama queen and quit cold turkey.
