He probably thought it was a test to get into whatever fraternity he was pledging- he didn't want to punk out. He better have gotten in after taking that nastiness...

I don't know I think they were just hammered as hell and found hitting people in head with huge ass wooden boards was amusing, did you see Massive Matt tell the dude to hit him in the head and the drunk dude whacked him in the face... I don't think that was pledging, I think that was one of the many side-effects of alcohol, I mean, thats pretty bad hand eye co-ordination!

Then why is the file called "frat"? It looked very much like a hazing incident to me...
Boondock27
03-07-2004, 10:53 PM
Yea... it could be a hazing incident, incident being the key word due to alcohol

Well, I didn't get a chance to see that (Damn Dial-up!), but I would just like to say, Boondock Saints is one kick ass movie. You may be a noob, but you get extra points for your name, and more extra points for not having a first post consisting of Jay and Silent Bob quotes.

Asteban, sometimes I really worry about you . Are you so broke you can't afford to pay attention ? Oh right, your 16.
At least the doofus can spell and punctuate, but he did, in fact, qoute Jay and Silent Bob .( See latter posts in " Expanding and Collapsing the board ". )

You mean like the way the Hillbillies loved Ned Beatty in " Deliverance " ?
Or the way Zed loved Marsalis in " Pulp Fiction. " ?

Wow. Confused, maybe he did quote it maybe he didn't. I don't read the expanding and colapsing or any of those posts. Heh. But yes, noob does mean newbie. Boondock 2: All Saint's Day is out this year. Wahoo!

Once, a group of people decided that if they open up there communications network, used for the trading of sciene thesis and formulas and document, many people would benifit from it. The idea was that if everyone with a computer could be tapped into this network, it would not only increase the networks size but make it so that billions upon billions of bytes of information could be at the finger tips of anyone on earth, perpetuating the evolution of mankind. today they turn in there graves.

I'll start off by accepting responsibility for a typo instead of changing my username and blaming my imaginary " friend ". Because you're new here and you still don't really understand what's going on. I'll give you that one for free.
Do not mistake my charity for weakness. Next time, it'll be open season on you.

How many posts does someone have to put on here before they are stopped being hated because they are a "newbie"?
KingBison
03-09-2004, 10:07 AM
If your first post is intelligent, or if you just stick around and partake in the conversations on the board in an adult fashion. I believe the newbie status goes away very quickly.

03-09-2004, 03:42 PM
I don't speak for everyone, but I don't hate you. How many posts you have doesn't really matter as much as what you say.
Pretty much, what K.B. said.
And most newbies get picked on. So don't take it too personally. Just stay away from the Assasin and groups of people bearing pitchforks and torches. There are a few other basics, you'll learn as you go .

Wingman is right; you're doing fine. Just hang in there. If you stick around long enough, you'll definitely get to the point where you understand why there is a gaunlet for noobs to run. As far as the number of posts effecting your status, it's an issue of quality over quantity.

The assasin has been dormant for a while, but it is getting to be newbie season so he may re-emerge assuming those pesky ninjas don't keep him too busy.
Just keep a low profile and don't piss off any of the regulars, except Razorback. Feel free to annoy him. I know I do. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Boondock, just learn to take your licks, man. I do. Your lucky you clicked on wingman, he's one of the good ones. You have to earn respect, friend. It’s not given. I don't have any, well on this forum anyway. These people have been talking to each other for months, some for years. You can't expect them to welcome you with open arms. Just your head up and stomach ready. I'm taking my licks so jump on in the water is warm (sorry they don't give you bathroom breaks) /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Yes, I am female and no I'm not on the rag. But you would have know that HAD you watched my A&E biography.
As far as the smurfs go, it was a stupid ugly cartoon. I hated it, so lets leave it at that. And please no more groupies flaming, its really sad. Tata.

BINGO!!!! Give that person a cigar! Wait, you are old enough to smoke, right? I don't want to be giving someone tobacco products and find out later that they were 3 y/o and now I am being fined for it.
