When regulars attack...

Last night and technically continuing on until this morning, a few regulars from the board got together in Chicago. Specifically, it was Denyse, Zens, myself, Karmattack and Efexeye.

I'll just start by saying that it began with a phone call yesterday morning from Denyse saying "I broke Zens."

...and thus hilarity ensued.

I have often wondered what would happen if some of us got together- if it would truly upset the order and balance of power in the known universe or if it would be such an event so as to shake the very pillars of Heaven...




I don't get out much.

I can tell you what happens...Zen spends 90% of the day sleeping and attempting to ward off the after effects a LOT of Cranberry Blonde Ale from Goose Island. /forums/images/icons/blush.gif

Also, I am trying to recover from that nasty pre-drinking spill where the wood floor rose up to attack me and left me with a cold, unfeeling butt cheek that is turning black. Denyse broke me!

I must say, everybody should organize their own local chapters of the midwest shoot excursion, because ours was a darn good time. I hadn't considered how rarely people that have so many similar interests get to go out together. But then there was dramatic reenactment of how we typed with our elbows at the dinner table...we were passing very well in the non-nerd world until that little incident. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

I agree- I had a bomb-ass time. I can definitely recommend Fangirl, Denyse, Zen's and Karma as party buddies- man, we rocked the HIZZY! Wee hours of the morning here, people. I post this as I have just returned from the arduous drive on Sunday afternoon. Always party with Zen's, Denyse and FanGirl- they drive you around, and they spoil you rotten. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

EDIT: They are also very excellent people. Seriously. Quality individuals here, folks.

While I was in Cubs territory, I manage to say "Go Sox" enough times to have Zens think we were going to get our buts kicked.

Had way to good of a time. The elbow re-enactment was quite funny. And can't seem to stop laughing everytime I think about it.

I really needed that to be the end of my dismal trip. It was a nice counterbalance.
