Batman Begins (http://apnews.excite.com/article/20040304/D813P3600.html) has started filming. I for one, am excited, but I am a geek and it is too late for me. Just want something cool to make that last cinematic turd to fade away.

If this movie lives up to my expectations, all other directors will just give up making movies because the very essence of film was defined by it. Damn the thought of this movie makes me joyous.

Yay, a new Batman movie. Im so glad that this is going to happen. But the only way ill ever endorse this movie is if they promise me that this man has nothing to do with it.

Remember, if Joel gets anywhere near this, IT WILL SUCK. Stand up against him and we will be victorious.

I have never seen such hatred for a person that someone has never met. I'm guessing that somewhere in the neighborhood of a quarter of your posts have been about your Schumacher hatred.

c`mon can you blame him, if we wanted to see male gratuitous ass shots we have lethal weapon 2, and if we wanted to see them in tight leather we'd see....batman and robin since I can't say I particularly look around for this kind of stuff.

While Schumacher's vision for Batman might have been a little off... OK, very off, I still dig Lost Boys and I think Tigerland was pretty damn good.

Actually, I'm a lot more excited about Blade: Trinity coming out. The Blade movies are just so damn cool that I can't get enough of em'. I bring this up because Goyer is involved with both. Once I see how Trinity turns out, it will be easier for me to determine how much I'll want to look forward to the new Batman flick.

Yeah but to kill off a comic movie franchise is bad. That aside I like lost boys, falling down and phone booth. And theres nothing homoerotic about them, except Jason Patric's permed hair in lost boys but still, that was the 80's.

Also noteworthy are Falling Down (man, I love that movie) and A Time to Kill.
But the mistakes this guy has made with the Batman movies and shit like Flawless (how to you put Phillip Seymour Hoffman as a drag queen and Robert Deniro as a stroke victim together in a movie and fuck it up?)......unforgivable.

Lets be honest, people...
The batman movies wern't that good to begain with. Very over the top..nobody gets mad that burton(a man who makes me want to eat my own head he annoys me so much)changed the batman costume to all black insted on grey and blue.
i'll admit, Batman And Robin was one of the most god awful movies ever concieved by man, but thats hardly Schumachers fault. Warner Bros pushed all this crap into the movie to make it one huge toy and product commerical..oh yea, George Clooney, one little tip: BATMAN NEVER SMILES, EVER.
Schumacher is a good film maker who has made a few bad movies, but thats true for any director: Speilberg-1941, Always...Lucas-Episode 2, Howard the duck....hell, Kubrick is one of my all time fav movie makers, but Eyes Wide Shut sucked many many balls. To me, Schumacher's good movies that you guys remember(Tigerland, A Time To Kill, Falling Down, Phone Booth)far outway the bad. cut him some slack.

Howard the Duck is the best film ever made!
As far as the suit being changed...it needed to change. The colors were outdated and plus batman is a 'darker' superhero. I loved the costume change.
BTW, Phonebooth was really bad...

1941, a bad movie?? Someone forgot to inform me. That movie is hilarious.
Eyes Wide Shut? Alright. I'll give you that it's a bit slow, but BAD? How are you a Kubrick fan of any kind? You just can't get away with that one.
Howard the Duck, I can't really argue. At least it's fun to watch though. Joel Schumacher has made some movies....8mm what?....that I'd rather get donkey-punched than watch.

The article doesn't mention that they are waiting for Guy Pierce's confirmation as Harvey Dent. If he passes, Larry Holden will be taking the role. Larry was the drug dealer in Memento and the cop that got shot in Insomina as well as the only person to ever get away with his crime on CSI. Larry is a good friend of my friend who will be visiting him on set in London at some point. If Guy takes the role, then Larry will be a secondary character.
Set your jealously level on high. My friend (hopefully) will get me some good gossip to pass on.

Consider me jealous-a-fied. I am so excited about this movie. After Spider-Man and the Matrix sequels, I told myself I wouldn't get hyped up so far before a movie's release. I lied to myself.
I will gladly take any extra gossip off your hands. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Howard the duck was a pretty good movie. But 1941 being bad. I dont know about that. Its a funny movie. So what if it tanked. Dosent mean its bad, it just continues to confirm my belief that everyone is retarded(present company obviously excluded)

Yes! Howard the Duck was amazing! And I thought I was the only one who saw that movie, let alone liked it. I was cracking up that entire movie and if I ever mention it to my friends they always say, "WTF?" Some kids just don't know good cinema now-a-days.

I always wondered why it didn't get an 'X' rating for the bedroom scene. Couldn't that be considered beastiality?
