5. Any wedding advice for ye olde editor-in-chief, whose "single" status is revoked on April 3?

1. What's your beer of choice for St. Patrick's Day?

5. Any wedding advice for ye olde editor-in-chief, whose "single" status is revoked on April 3?
Go out with your Bestest Buddies, have a really good time and take pictures . Because once the knot is tied, so to speak, you wont be seeing much of them anymore. All my best friends said it wouldn't be that way, but then they got married and it was that way.

Alright, forget the introductions part and just answer the questions!
1. What's your beer of choice for St. Patrick's Day?
I have been a Black n Tan chick via Harp since the ripe underage of 18. I am sure not stopping now! I will accept Bass under duress.
2. Do you plan to see Jersey Girl?
Of course. I am hoping for that elitist nerd dialogue I love so much from Mr. Smith.
3. If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato? Sadly, this is where my geek-chick-dom has failed. I have only started comics in the last 2 years and feel unqualified to say. While you guys were doing comics, I was collecting baseball cards.
4. What's getting the most play on your CD/MP3 player right now?
Well, as always, Ryan Adams/Whiskeytown on rotation. Plus, doing Legends of Rodeo, Damien Rice, Tito Larriva, Ani DiFranco, Los Lonely Boys, Melissa Etheridge, Paul Westerburg, Atmosphere/Eyedea, Keb Mo, Pink Martini...this is going to turn into a mix tape thread soon. I have been so out of the new music thing while gone, I have just tapped into the old stuff.
5. Any wedding advice for ye olde editor-in-chief, whose "single" status is revoked on April 3?
Yes. Look hot. Enjoy yourself. Don't spend more time socializing than you do holding and speaking with your wife. It is really your only job. Tell her a thousand times how beautiful she is, because it must never get old. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif Congrats!

1. What's your beer of choice for St. Patrick's Day?
Not much of a beer drinker.
2. Do you plan to see Jersey Girl?
Yep.
3. If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato?
I have hazy recollections of watching reruns of the old TV show. Jet Li jumps immediately to mind for Kato. All I remember about the Hornet himself is that he was just your average rich playboy Bruce Wayne type.
4. What's getting the most play on your CD/MP3 player right now?
The aforementioned Rage Against the Machine live album and Relationship of Command by At the Drive-in.
5. Any wedding advice for ye olde editor-in-chief, whose "single" status is revoked on April 3?
Routine is the enemy of a happy marriage.

Coopers Pale Ale, Guinness and Caffreys. Erm... in separate pint glasses.
2. Do you plan to see Jersey Girl?
Well, yeah.
3. If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato?
I'm not familiar with the Green Hornet, so will stealthily mask this fact by discussing the casting of Sandman. Vincent Gallo, natch.
4. What's getting the most play on your CD/MP3 player right now?
The Icarus Line - Mono
The Birthday Party - Mutiny/The Bad Seed
Sensitive-football-players-turned-singer-songwriters
5. Any wedding advice for ye olde editor-in-chief, whose "single" status is revoked on April 3?

Assuming they couldn't get Bruce Campbell and/or Jet Li my alternates are George Clooney and Ziyi Zhang from Crouching Tiger and Rush Hour 2 (here are a few pics of her) (http://members.lycos.nl/luyese/ziyizhang.htm) This means updating Kato as a woman of course.

5. The best wedding advice someone can give you is DONT GET MARRIED, but if you have to get married, make sure shes the kind of wife who is willing to go down on you for the rest of your lives. If she is willing to do that, then she is definately willing to devote all she is to you for the rest of time. GOOD LUCK!!!!
1. What's your beer of choice for St. Patrick's Day?
<font color="blue">Green, green Budweiser. And it's not green because of coloring, it's green because it's 2 years past the good ol' born on date. </font color>

<font color="blue"> But of course. </font color>
3. If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato?
<font color="blue"> I dont know that much about either one of these guys, So i'll go with George Clooney as the Hornet and Iron Chef Morimoto as Kato</font color>
4. What's getting the most play on your CD/MP3 player right now?
<font color="blue">right now it's a rotation between Frank Black and the Catholics Devil's Playground and Interpol's Turn on your Bright Lights </font color>

1. What's your beer of choice for St. Patrick's Day?
<font color="green"> Guinness, Caffrey's, Bushmills whiskey. I was once quoted as telling a friend I was bringing him Guinness and he was not allowed to drink any "green fagg'ot beer." (That word choice isn't intended to be an insult to homosexuals at all. I would never ever insinuate that ANY whole group of people are dumb enough to drink stupid green beer /forums/images/icons/grin.gif . Exept fratboys -- the TRUE insult to homosexuality). </font color>
2. Do you plan to see Jersey Girl?
<font color="green"> Only because someone posted a positive review of it on AICN. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif Of course I plan on checking it out.
</font color>
3. If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato?
<font color="green"> I think George Clooney sounded like a great choice. Jet Li would make a good Kato, and he seems to need something interesting to work on. <font color="green"> </font color>
</font color>
4. What's getting the most play on your CD/MP3 player right now?
<font color="green"> I'm mixing it up pretty well, but Jurassic 5 "Power In Numbers" has been in my CD player for three straight days. </font color>
5. Any wedding advice for ye olde editor-in-chief, whose "single" status is revoked on April 3?
<font color="green"> Yeah. DON'T DO EEEEEEET!! Other than that, a discussion I had last night comes to mind -- just accept the fact that your life has changed and be proud of it and true to it. Do NOT try to act like the same old homie to your friends and then not back it up. Other than that, I have no marriage experience and wish you all the happiness and success in the world. </font color>

Well, this is Kevin's site. If you can't show the man some respect by paying $8-10 to see his movie then I guess you don't appreciate what he and his people bring you on this site.
RB
I'm not really sure what one has to do with the other. Do i like K.S., yes, have i seen all his movies in the theatre (with of course the exception of Clerks), yes. Will i see Jersey Girl, probably, but i'm not itching to see it. In fact, i think that i like Kevin more as a Personality, than as a Director. I realize that the above statement wasn't directed at me, but i had to put in my 2 pennies.
But his movies are the reason i come here, sure they were what brought me to start with, but i come here because i like the tone, if that makes any sense. It's just a fun site, with a sense of humor about itself, and i appreciate that.

Well, it would be Black and Tans...if I was still drinking, stupid Lent.
2. Do you plan to see Jersey Girl?
Definitely. I can't blow my KS movie opening night streak.
3. If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato?
I have to plead ignorance.
4. What's getting the most play on your CD/MP3 player right now?
I bought the new lostprophets CD...and then lost it. So I have been listening to Spin Doctors the last coupla days.

Probably get my friend to order me the region 1 dvd since it's likely it will reach cinemas here at the same time.
3. If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato? George Clooney also came to my mind, maybe Treat Williams, and Mark Damascos as Kato, or that guy who played Seraph in the matrix.
4. What's getting the most play on your CD/MP3 player right now?
Silent Hill 3 soundtrack, lots of ambient music.....sounds.

I suppose I should answer my own questions...
1. What's your beer of choice for St. Patrick's Day?
Guinness. Which is really the only answer to this question, in my opinion.
2. Do you plan to see Jersey Girl?
Yes, but I no longer plan to see my little cameo in JERSEY GIRL, at least not until the DVD, since my scene, the wedding scene, has been cut.
3. If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato?
I have no idea, I just know that I'm not crazy about the Bruce Campbell idea. Something about that big chin and recognizable mug in that mask would just seem to campy. I'd rather see someone more indistinct, like Luke Wilson or someone. Since I know things about Kevin's plans for Kato, I can't really answer this one since that'd color my answer.
4. What's getting the most play on your CD/MP3 player right now?
Dave Thomas got me listening to The Frames, but I've also been on a Motorhead/Probot kick lately. Got some live Ryan Adams that's pretty solid, some band called The Headstones that Josh turned me onto, old Pantera and Brian Setzer Orchestra, to get in the mindset for my wedding. And speaking of...

1. What's your beer of choice for St. Patrick's Day? Guiness
2. Do you plan to see Jersey Girl? I guess so.
3. If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato? I am not sure about the Hornet, but I agree with Jet Li as Kato. Maybe let Christopher Walken be the bad guy.
4. What's getting the most play on your CD/MP3 player right now? Right now? I guess I would have to say it is the soundtrack to "The Crow". Why did I go take it off of the shelf and start playing it? I dunno, I just did.
5. Any wedding advice for ye olde editor-in-chief, whose "single" status is revoked on April 3? Well, I would say..."Don't do it!!!!" but that would be coming from a guy who is divorced. So, I guess I would say this...Don't let your life together settle into that boring routine. Remember that just because it isn't boring to you, doesn't mean it isn't to her. Oh, I almost forgot. When she is right, she is right and when she is wrong, she is right.....ha ha ha.

Green?
2. Do you plan to see Jersey Girl?
Yeah. I'll plan on opening day...then I probably wont go, but within the first week. I'd go opening day if Ryall was in it.
3. If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato?
I think the luke wilson idea is good. Dude seems a bit young, but he could do it. How about Sean Penn? He could cry when the black beauty gets keyed. Kato- i'll keep silent on that.
4. What's getting the most play on your CD/MP3 player right now?
Old rolling stones, and Copland's appalachain spring

1. What's your beer of choice for St. Patrick's Day?
Not really a "beer" gal. I go the Black & Tan or Snakebite (1/2 cider, 1/2 ale) route on St. Patrick's Day. And in an Irish pub of course...
2. Do you plan to see Jersey Girl?
Hell yes, I'm going. 'Bout damn time this flick hit the theaters! However, I fully expect to have been rendered unrecognizable in all three of my scenes. That, and I was hoping to see Chris in all of his glory, but yeah, I'm still going...
3. If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato?
Johnny Depp or Ewan MacGregor/Lucy Liu or Kelly Hu (Yes, Kato CAN be a girl...)
If he were going to play it for laughs (which I know he's not) my alternates would be Ryan Reynolds and Gedde Watanabe.
4. What's getting the most play on your CD/MP3 player right now? Truthfully, I'm in one of those weird flashback moods right now. Mostly Simon & Garfunkel, Peter Gabriel (late 80's style), Elton John and CCR.
5. Any wedding advice for ye olde editor-in-chief, whose "single" status is revoked on April 3?
Relationships are never 50/50. Just equal shares of 80/20 days...And only one person gets to be in a bad mood at a time.

Buy the flowers, my friend. After twelve years with my girl, it gets hard to break the habits and roles you form early in the relationship. Make the bias work for ya. If you establish yourself as the romanitic caring type it will give you some slack when you are distracted or just need to be by yourself. Trust me on this one.

Guiness, of course. I think it's illegal for a south side Irish girl to drink anything else.

If you're familiar with the Green Hornet, who would you like to see play him and Kato? jet lee as kato, and I would have to go with collin farell( don't care how it is really spelled) as hornet just because it would be funny to see people try to understand those two talking two each other. I'd pay 8 bucks to see that anyday

[/ QUOTE ] That seems to happen way too often in movies and TV shows, and not nearly often enough in real life. Maybe when you decide to get married we can work on that.

We obviously have experienced different bachelor parties...
...the kind where the party turns into spectating live porn starring the groom to be.

I just mean that no marriages haven't happened because of the bachelor parties...but there should be many more to come. One can only hope...I would hate to know that TV and movies have always been lying to me.

Aaaaaaaaah...I gotcha now.
When it was my turn to throw a bachelor party, I suppose I did my best to soil the bachelor. His wife owns him.
I think my best work was in buying a DVD called Century Club. Century Club porn. Yes.....grandma porn. We rolled it at the bachelor party, and I made sure to leave it laying out at his place. Apparently his wife never saw it because any girl in her right mind would have bolted after that.......no time for excuses.
I also got him a sexually functional, inflatable sheep.
We had a riot for that party, but it's the only one I've been at all in charge of. Hmm.....GEE, I wonder why!

When I lost my first, best friend to marriage ( to a stripper, no less ) . He asked me not to spend too much money on the wedding gift ,
" Just get us something fun. " he said.
Well little did I know that they'd be opening the wedding gifts in front the entire reception party, including both sets of their parents and step parents the priest who performed the ceremony, the entire family, childeren too and various other members of the church.
So when the wrapping paper was removed revealing the black twelve inch strap-on, Boy ! Was my face red !
Six years later, they still don't return my calls !?!

When I was still in High School, our music teacher got married. Oh, did I mention that she was a hotty? Well, she was. Any ways, some of us got together and got her a special gift. Of course, we had to get a senior to buy it though. She was a bit embarrassed when she opened it in front of the class. I guess a box of edible panties will do that.

The ones that I have been in charge of have ranged from meh to pretty good to pretty damn awesome. I think it all depends on the girl that shows up. The "meh" girl was doing her first party so she was nervous and shaking, we felt bad for her more than anything. The last one that I planned turned out great, we ran out of whipped cream, but the girl didn't mind that we switched to pudding!

This chic. (http://www2.lucidcafe.com/lucidcafe/library/95nov/antoinette.html)
...And why does she need cake ? She doesn't even have a head .
Oh God ! I just realized I actually learned something from watching " Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure".
The shame ! I shall never recover .

Hey, man. You shouldn't knock people for their tastes. Some people like carrots and some people don't, just like some people like the taste of authentic Mexican urine.
