when Randal goes into 'Choice Video' and just has that moment?

Well, I had a similar experience today when I walked into 'Hollywood Video.'

They had purple walls, a classic movie section to die for, hot counter clerks and it was just like WOW.

I always rent at Hollywood- I hate Blockbuster. Hollywood has the newest games and guarantees the most titles in stock. Plus, all their used DVD's are 3 for 30 bucks. They order so many copies of movies that you can buy pretty much whatever you want. Speaking of which, I restarted my DVD collection yesterday- I figure with the new HDTV and pro-scan DVD player, I should have something to show them off. So I was in Tarjay and got The Matrix (I know, I know) and The Big Lebowski brand new for 21 dollars. Screw Suncoast, I gotta go to Target more often.

I was looking for this one movie to watch. And I went in there and rented three. Let's just say I'd rather spend my money there then at the video store across the street where I work.

Do they send you a membership card or what? I didn't ask any of the obvious questions because well, I am shy when it comes to hot guys helping me. Plus, I looked like crap since I got this new entertainment center I am building..

No, they gave me my card right on the spot. And I just built a new entertainment center yesterday, too! I hate those stupid cardboard back pieces they give you to nail on- the thing won't stop wobbling without it, but I can't hook up all my components through the 1-inch cutout they give you!

Speaking of which, my back gave out yesterday when I was building that damn thing. I was on all fours screwing something in /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif and something in my back snapped- I screamed like a little girl, I couldn't help it. Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict drug regimen to help me through. Mesa like-ee da Xanax and Demerrol. Only can get when in pain though- doc writes a scrip for 1 of each pill.

I refuse to get a membership at any of the huge chain stores. I've been renting from the same little video store since I was four years old. And since the proprietors have known me since I was a wee little lad, they always let me rent the new releases before they rent them to anyone else, if I'm overdue they always take a lot off or wipe my fee entirely, and if I go in there to rent and I don't have any money on me, they just tell me to pay when I come back. Plus, their selection kicks ass.

They've known you since you were four? Doesn't that make you uncomfortable when you want to rent something a little risque'?

Well, it's not like I rent hardcore pornos or anything.

The video store I work for I have been going to since I was 12, but since I work there now, it is kind of weird giving my paycheck back to them.

But, when I walked into Hollywood Video I was like just in awe of what was around me.

We have a really really small Blockbuster here, but I very rarely ever use it. Our main one is a Hastings.

The best thing about Hollywood Video:

"Do you want to take care of your late fee today, or the next time you're in?"

"Ehhhh, I think I'll take care of it next time."

Working in a video store is awesome. Hands down one of the coolest jobs ever. You get to talk all day about movies.

Have you worked at a video store before? Because if your former video clerking job is like that, then I want it.
