i work at a local movie theatre as a manager and got a preview of "The Passion"....and was very dissipointed. i'm sure for some more "religious" people whos faith depends on what jesus did, it will be a very visual and powerful dipection. from my standpoint as a movie fan and non-christian, it was 2 hours of unneeded viloence and a show of brutality. the entire film is the 12 hours from jesus being arrested to his crucifiction. that is not a good time frame for a story...its just jesus being beaten and torutued. maybe a film on jesus's life, teachings, or even the reserection would have been better, story wise. no matter how i feel about the story, it is beautifly filmed, with great shots and great use of the scenery. i personaly didnt like it...but let me know what you all think. peas.

Though the wrong forum and all, I thought the movie rocked. It is weird in this day and age to hear someone say that there is too much violence. This movie finally put things in perspective. It shows everyone Christians and non-Christian alike that whether you believe or not Jesus suffered through all that for us. Most Christians don't understand that He went through all that, they just think that it was a walk in the park and He was crucified. And most non-Christians don't have any idea that He even did that. I think this was a great movie movie that Mel made and I wish I could thank him for it personally.

I'm guessing this is something from Ep3 that I don't want to know about. I'd call it a spoiler, but something that cool looking will probably end up in the trailers.

I know it's the wrong forum but the guy's new and he made an effort to post something real, so how about a little slack and maybe even communication for the new guys? I'll move things to the right forum, but I'm seeing more and more dismissive, if not openly hostile, responses (not from any one person, just in general) to new folks and that's not cool. Let's not discourage new people from hanging here.

It is not considered a spoiler since the official site has revealed him to the public and LFL plans on using him for marketing very early. They want people to get to know him long before the movie comes out. Plus, he will be in the second rounds of the Clone Wars cartoon shorts.

Jesus Christ, Chris,
We get the message, be nice to the new guys who are trying. You don't have to repeat yourself. We heard you the first time.

You can be very tiring sometimes...
Yes, that's all you said. That was part of the problem, as I stated before. A guy does a long post about a movie and you only give him a dismissive "wrong forum" reply. As I said, too many people are overly dismissive of anyone new here, and I'd like it to stop, that's all.
As for people posting in the wrong forum, I'll take care of that. I appreciate you trying to keep this place in order but I'd appreciate friendly discourse with new people more.

Okay, when I made my previous post, there weren't any new ones after the myriad of repeats by Chris. When it posted, all of the others appeared. To think I though I was gonna be the first to take advantage of a problem with the message board...damn.

This thread is still doing some kind of Bermuda triangle thing with posts. I was looking at a couple posts a minute ago that aren't here now and when I posted here last night and couldn't see my post. I thought I'd been banned.
" So this is what it's like to be banned . " I thought to myself. " You can still log in and type responses but no one can see them . "
