After begging for this show to end this season, I'll admit that I'll probably miss it some now that it's gone. Part of me still thinks women everywhere are crazy for hoping Carrie ends up with Mr. Big -- the lesson here being that it's okay if he screw other women as long as he eventually comes around and decides that the woman he screwed around on is "the One" -- and part of me is embarrassed for even talking about this show, but hell, I've watched the entire run and I liked last night's finale.
it was a little sappy, with everyone getting their own version of a happy ending, but I guess they deserved it.
Although if Carrie would've turned around and seen Big in that car while she was in the street in Paris I would've kicked a hole in my TV. But since that didn't happen, I'm okay with the finale. Thoughts?

What, one comment actually about the show itself and then a couple others about "all shows must come to an end"? C'mon, people, you can do better than that...

Well I for one hate that show. Don't ask me why, but I've hated since the first time I heard of it.

Hey, I agree. I didn't watch the show though. People are a'slackin' on these boards. Bunch of slouches, the lot of you!
Alright, maybe I'm just a slouch for not having HBO.

Well, I didn't know if everyone saw the show or not, so I didn't want to post anything about it. Plus, I don't think many guys watch the show or was in a sad, crying mood for no reason (like I was) last night. But, overall the show was great. I love it. I cried and I think it was a great way to end the show...maybe a perfect ending to take it to the big screen. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif But, the show ending means spending more money for the series collection on dvd. Oh what a great excuse to use the credit card. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I am going to refrain from commenting on Sex and the City because one of my best friends is editing the shows for syndication. So every night I get a call and he tells me the nightmare it has been doing them plus the drama the networks are creating around it. I am sort of sick to death of sex and the city and can't watch the shows without thinking how my poor friend is going to get around some of the stuff and still have it make sense.

I only caught the last 10 or so minutes, when everyone was having their respective happygasms. I thought it was a bit odd for a show that championed single-women it's entire run, that it's version of a happy ending was for all the girls to get boyfriends. Fuck, even Cattrall's character got a soul mate.

Haven't had HBO the entire time it has been on. I kinda have a thing against paying for television. So I couldn't post in depth thought on the subject.

Well the final season has only just started here (we had the 3rd episode last night) so I can't really comment on the last ep but I will say that, having been a fan of the series I will miss it, but I am glad its finishing whilst still leaving us with happy thoughts. Nothing worse than a show which had been fantastic, hanging around way too long.

I got rid of HBO a long time ago, so I don't watch it. But then, I never really watched it when I had HBO.
Good riddance to Sex and the City.
Now, where's My Sopranos?

I'm so behind in the Sopranos. Now season 2 of Carnivale, bring it on!
