So, the time has come to rate the worst comic book adaption ever. I have narrowed my choice down to 2 options. Firstly; Hellboy. Not only is he the stupidest character to ever grace the fair pages of thosse hallowed books (besides LardBoy), but the story line is so stupid that I cringed during the watching.
Secondly; Garfield. Now I realise that it is a comic STRIP, but lets call a spade a spade. Garfield is possibly the greatest comic character ever, but they seem to have butchered him in the film. He is a bad looking digital character, he should have been a cartoon, the entire film should have been cartoon to preserve the quality of the drawings. But casting Jennifer Love Hewitt and Breckin Meyer as Jon, that was downright stupid. He looks nothing like Jon. I don't usually get picky about those kind of things, but the relationship between Jon and Garfield was so brilliant that they musn't wreck that with a 20 year old playing him. 20 year old's aren't depressed, they are drunk. Phew, glad to get that off my chest.

Your thoughts?

Have seen HellBoy. What the hell was going on there? And am basing my thoughts on Garfield on the trailer. Have a look at it, and then tell me what you think.

The first PUNISHER was bad, but the worst was the CAPTAIN AMERICA movie.

i didn't follow very many comic books. i read a spiderman every now and then (and some rather unpopular ones, i forget their names). but one comic book i did read, and would like to see be adapted into a movie, is the silver surfer.

I believe Condor Man Deserves a honorable mention.......

Technically, Condor Man was not an adaptation. It just sucked. As for Silver Surfer, Marvel has put that as top priority as the next big ticket movie.

and all I have to say is they need to stop considering Vin Diesel.

...come on! Vin Diesel is practically retarded. He is not the fuckin' herald of Galactus!!

I didn't know they were concidering Vin. EEEEEK! I personally cut him some slack just because of Schindler's List, but he is all wrong for The Surfer.

I don't know how much they were considering, really. I know he was expressing a lot of interest. That absolutely WOULD NOT fit. Who would buy him as the Silver Surfer? /forums/images/icons/confused.gif
