View Full Version : Why is everyone quitting?!!!?

I work at a locally-owned grocery store.
Recently one of our veteran employees announced her two weeks notice. She's quitting because the store owner's son has started working there, and has been getting credit for work that he never does. (That among other reasons)

You see, the store owner tends to hire family members, and then favor them over everyone else. Isn't that right badash! j/k

Now that this woman is quitting, at least two other people, including badash, are considering quitting.

The only problem is, is that the people that are quitting are some of the few people that keep me sane at work.

You would understand if you worked there.

WHY????!!!!!!

I'm glad you felt compelled to bring it to our attention.

No really, Thank you.

The fact that you pointed out it taking someone to be there to understand totally negates the fact that it makes sense to post this in the first place.

Well, I'm quitting so I can more fully pursue my fledgling career as a Cryptozoologist. I don't know why everyone else is quitting, though. Sorry.

I hear ya, rockergirl...even though I might quit...yeah...sorry.

For all you poopshooters out there who have never worked at Duck's, well, just picture a concentration camp with canned items. You'll get the picture.

Oh, and the patriots won...YES

Shouldn't you have quit before you reached your goal.

I don't even like buying stuff there. It IS kind of like buying groceries from Hitler.

What is the freakin' point of barely posting, except to complain about work? Okay, maybe that's not so bad... but, how in Zeus' butthole are we supposed to know why? Or care? Just leave there already! I took Randal's advice from Clerks--if you've got something better to offer the world, just do it. I made a promise to myself to never be taken for granted again at work. Either proactively decide you're one of those masochistic people who likes taking it in the ass from your boss and always having something to complain about, or get on with your life. That's the core issue here.

Don't knock Hitler groceries until you've tried them. That one-balled, mustachioed, little fascist makes the best salami around.

That's gross, man. I'm a vegetarian, so I don't eat Jews.

Somewhere there is a Jewish Girl that is very dissappointed by that statement.
