Yep kids, it's that time of year again. The nice little lull between Oscar season and Summer, generally characterized by mediocrity and outright awfulness. When all the big studios take the time to dump all of their crappy and rightfully delayed projects. Along Came Polly, 50 First Dates, Torque, Butterfly Efffect, The Big Bounce, Dirty Dancing 2... the list goes on.
So, what piece of shit are you looking forward most to not seeing? Personally, I can't wait to not see Along Came Polly! When I saw the scene in the preview where Ben Stiller is on a date and the toilet starts to back up on him, I was breathless from my lack of laughter! Totally not hackneyed!

<font color="purple">'The Butterfly Effect.' I think I am the only girl in America who would pass on the offer if Ashton Kutcher asked me to sleep with him. Sorry, but the guy doesn't do it for me, sexually or acting. </font color>
The whole plot/premise of The Butterfly Effect sounds like a Dean Koontz novel... However, it does have Bizzaro World Willem in it...
Just to clarify- I like Dean Koontz novels- it's just that most of the movie adaptations suck...

The Butterfly Effect looks like a really bad takeoff of the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror short "Time and Punishment," which in itself was a hilariously brilliant takeoff of Ray Bradbury's classic short story "A Sound of Thunder." But I doubt very much that Kutcher can read, so I'll bet he just saw The Simpsons episode.
Polly still looks the most awful to me though.

I saw the trailer for 50 First Dates, and I think it has promise...
Of course anything Ashton Kutcher I will not see, so that'd get my vote for "Most Not Likely To See..Ever".

<font color="green"> I agree with you PapaSmurf. Ashton Kutcher = ugly and bad actor. I still think that he should not be allowed to be in anything except That 70s Show. 50 First Dates, true doesn't look that wonderful, but its Adam Sandler so I have to see it sometime, because I have vowed to see every Adam Sandler movie ever. I'm avoiding Little Nicky as long as I possibly can. </font color>

I think I have to agree with you on 'Along Came Polly'. Doesn't Ben Stiller have basically the same toilet joke/scene in most of his movies?

Yeah, basically. It's a sad contrast to see him in all these crappy romantic comedies and then think back to The Ben Stiller Show, or see his genius work now on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Hey, he's gotta pay the bills too, Matt.
One time I saw Anthony Hopkins, one of the classiest actors ever in my opinion, on Conan talking about that movie he did with Chris Rock, which to me was anathema. Believe it or not, sometimes the stars we love, who have incredible talent, do crappy movies to make the mad cash. Of course the crowd roared to hear Anthony Hopkins, a very reserved, mild-mannered, gentlemanly character say, "I did it for the money," but I was let down.
I think that maybe you seek to know why they do. But, I can't help you there.

I'm probably gona end up seeing 50 First Dates even though the last two Sandler movies (Anger Management, Mr. Deeds) have disapointed me greatly.

It's funny how these trailers have old gags in them, like they're funnier reheated or something. The 50 Dates trailer has Drew beating the crap out of some set up mugger, which is exactly what happened in Sandler's own Mr. Deeds, is it not? And then Stiller messing around with the clogged toilet in 'Polly' looks alot like the same scene from Dumb and Dumber (not that clogged toilets haven't been featured in other movies, just the first thing I noticed), which was a Farelly Bros movie, nonetheless. Anyone else dissapointed by the stale humor in these upcoming so-called comedies?

I've seen that too. And then he actually goes on a date with Tia Carrere. I also loved his reveal that when you're in love, it's not the big movie style kiss that is the big deal, but the first time you make physical contact. Then it shows them walking around holding hands everywhere. Great movie.

[censored] Butterfly Effect. Ashton Kutcher can't do serious roles worth shit. He's good as the dumb fuck from That 70s Show but that's about it. Speaking of which, isn't that [censored] in Cheaper by the Dozen too?
