Dual question for this thread, since it's a slow day and all. First off, who's going to Wizard World, and what are your plans? Okay, that's already two, but I'm going to keep going.
Second, as a little project for the con, I plan on raiding the quarter bins in a search to complete an entire series of something that typically winds up in said bins. Over the years I've done this here and there with ROM, Howard the Duck, GI Joe (which paid off nicely) and the like.
THe question is, what should I look for? What might be an admirable challenge? Some thoughts so far have been Moon Knight, Dazzler, or running board joke The Human Fly. I'm up for whatever. Once a good list comes together we can do a poll. Then we'll eat pie and drink cocoa.

I say go for the Moon Knight stuff. I've heard good things about some of the earlier issues.

I'd say find all the Claremont/Byrne Marvel team-Ups you can in the quarter bins--those are actually great reads. Or the DeMatteis/Zeck Captain Americas and even the Stern run on Doctor Strange. Also, I've found some good Mike Baron/Steve Rude Nexus issues or Baron's The Badger, both good series.
But if you want a challenge, then yeah, Human Fly's a good start. I actually have a copy of the first issue right here in my desk (why?!?) that I found in a quarter bin (and a complete run in storage, but let's not get into that). Or else all 16 Captain Carrots, the first run of What If? with Teen Hulk, Crystar, Crystal Warrior, or bad Marvel movie adaptations like Dragonslayer, For Your Eyes Only, Raiders of the Lost Ark or the treasury edition of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Or there's The Adventures of Kool-Aid Man (suggested by Prof. Scott Tipton). Or even Alf Annual (yeah, the cat-eating TV show puppet) that guest-starred the X-Men.
Then there's the double shots of the Marvel Fumetti Book (with b&w pics so grainy you can't tell what's what) and the Marvel No-Prize Book.
if you really, really want an advanced, upper-division, just-under-Holy Grail-level search, I challenge you to find the Marvel religious trifecta of the Pope John Paul one-shot, Mother Theresa of Calcutta and St. Francis of Assissi ("forgive me, Brother Ass, my body" -- why the hell has this quote been stuck in my head since I was a little kid???).
Hmm...maybe this should be some sort of contest, who can find the most gawdawful ridiculous run in the quarter bins.
Stop in and say hi to Kevin when you're at the show, too--he's gonna be at that one. The rest of us will just be at SD.

I might be going. I'd like to, and I have a bunch of friends who are making plans. I should see if I can tag along with 'em...
