UNDER CONSTRUCTION, Missy Elliott -- I haven't heard it, so I can't criticize.
FALLEN, Evanescence -- Um...they follow trends to get popular and sell out at the first opportunity. That might win people Grammy's, but not my vote.
SPEAKERBOXXX/THE LOVE BELOW, OutKast -- Creative, stylish, tests and stretches musical boundaries all while being very good. My vote.
JUSTIFIED, Justin Timberlake -- Again, I'm not very familiar with it. I have to give the guy credit for being talented, stylish and popular. His music is not my bag, though this is probably what WILL win.
ELEPHANT, White Stripes -- I like the White Stripes. Jack is enourmously talented and charismatic and they've brought new life to a classic sense of rock 'n roll. IMHO, it won't contribute to the future of music as much as Outkast's product. Barely outvoted.

I have heard both the White Stripes and Outkast albums and I personally think the Outkast cd is way better. In the fact that they bring two types of music to our ears and they always try to do something different. It is a close race, but Outkast will for sure win Album of the year.

As for the others, Evanesce's album reminds me a lot of No Doubt's tragic Kingdom in some respect.

Justin Timberlake's cd is good, but will nott win. It does not have enough songs that I thought are grammy worthy and the only song that I really liked from the album is 'Cry me a River.'

That sums up how I feel pretty well. I really enjoy Elephant, but The Love Below is just outstanding. After getting it, it didn't come out of my CD player for a coupla weeks. Elephant came out after about a week. And then it got stolen. Bastards.

I think it sucks that Jet wasn't on that, I like their rock n' roll sounds.

Jet is amazing, but since they aren't on there I'll have to go with Whitestripes. They won't win because that's how this world works. I despise everything else on that list, except Evanescence. Amy Lee has a great voice, and the beats are good. I wouldn't buy it, but its good.

I guess mine would go to the Stripes just because I don't really like any of the other people on the list.

I probably should have abstained from voting, since I'm not familar with all the candidates, but what the hell, I threw my lot in with the Stripes.

I think the Stripes are a little overrated.

I think Smurfy is a little correct.

I like 'em, but I can't deny it.

Does anyone know what the deal was where they were claiming to be brother and sister and then they're a married couple? Oh, but divorced ?

You know how sometimes the T.V. is on and you're doing other things and you hear something and say wtf ???? Did I hear that right ?

jjcourtright

I don't think it is so much overrated as it is overhpyed.

Jack used to introduce Meg as his sister at concerts. So locally, and until they got big, people thought they were brother and sister. The reality is they were once married, now divorced, but still friends and musical partners.

A musical opinion that I have come to. FUCK LINKIN PARK. They were ok at first but then they were way too overplayed and now it is at a point where if I even hear the name of the band I want to scream.

I don't think you can stutter when you write so let me just get the point of all that; FUCK LINKIN PARK.

My "Wha?" referred to the complete lack of relevance of your statement in a topic about:
Missy Elliott
Evanescence
OutKast
Justin Timberlake
and
White Stripes

ahhh... ok then, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Psychofiend, I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with you about Linkin Park. They were not ok at first. They've never been ok.

And I've seen the White Stripes live, and they are truly amazing. They live up to their hype.

But they've "tried so hard "

'but in the end it doesn't even matter', cause we were all aware how bad they sucked.

I guess they've " got to fall, to lose it all. "
