Yes, I did post in at least one thread that I was gonna be gone for 5-6 weeks and not be able to post here, but I got this wild idea. Where I am staying, they allow you to hook up to the internet if you have a dial-up service. I don't, I use cable. So, what I did was, I got a free AOL 9.0 disks and loaded it on my work laptop. Now, while I am here, I get free access to AOL and can cancel it before I leave....woohoo!!

Best way to insure that you have internet access while traveling. Good work.

I have a cat, she was just declawed, I think it would be harmless for her to join the playdate.

Sure does, but I think her instincts are dead by now. Indoor cats eventually lose their instincts.

No one called me a liar. I just didn't want to give off the wrong impression within a couple of days of me stating I wouldn't be logging on.

Uh, I would rather call it inginuity.
I have discovered one thing though. I have remembered why I avoided AOL like the plague. All of the damn programs in it always pop up at start-up and AOL sends out more e-mails to it's members than anyone else.

Don't be ashamed. Take pride in your con.

Yeah, I guess you are right. Every once in a while, the little guy has to stick it to the big guy.

Are you sure about that. My cat has been trying to kill my hamster for a while now. But, she now knows she is family and only tends to visit when I am not around.

Buddy, I think that's freakin' awesome. I think you're even more addicted to the Shoot than I am! And manipulating the system (AOL/Time Warner that is) for your own benefit--sheer genius! Kudos! And nice to [still] have you here! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Thanks for the great compliment. I think more of us should save those stupid disks that AOL sends out. That way, whenever we go on a trip, we can have free access to the web while we are gone.
