I have just noticed that there is a few idiots here naming themselves after avril songs and until now, I hadn't realized that it had gotten this bad. I'm so sorry, on the behalf of all the people in my country with any common sence I Apologize. I would also like to Apologize for Celine Dion, Brian Adams, Bret Hart, Mike Myers (wait... ignore that one, hes cool) Sum41, Nickelback, and Christian (the weenie of the E&C tag team). I hope you can forgive us.

Hey, Bret Hart was cool. I don't apologize for being a wrestling fan. If you're going to apologize for Canadian wrestlers apologize for the Rugeau Brothers.

2 things great about canada...

1. Beer contains more alcohol per volume.
2. Trish Stratus....she makes my pants go crazy.

Legal drinking age is lower also.

Your apologies is noted, but we cannot accept. Too much damage has already been done. There's nothing you or anyone else can do about it. Or is that "aboot" it? /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

hyphnip

Heh, aboot, clever. Anyway, I'll admit, Canada has a lot to apologize for, but so does the United States. Backstreet Boys, Nsync, Eminem, Britney and Christina, The friggen Osbournes TV show, Nelly, O.J. Simpson (We all know he did it) and of course, The Rock. I know my country has made some bad mistakes but MattSinger, maybe you should think about what your country has made us suffer through before you tell me about it being too late and too much damage being done. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
P.s.- saying "aboot" doesn't make you clever, I've never, in my 19 years living in Canada, heard a Canadian say "aboot" the only people that I've heard say that are my American cousins trying to be funny, it just makes you look stupider.

I seem to remember hearing "aboot" on Degrassi all the time. Maybe your ears have become accustomed to it, like people in Trenton NJ stop noticing the smell. Just a theory.

Wait, Nelly? I'll accept your complaints about NSync and their ilk (though its about as original as my "aboot" statement), but Nelly? I mean I'm not really a fan of his, but I've never heard anyone go "Man, that Nelly character has to go!"

You mean South Park was lying?!?!?!? And your statement implies that I could look MORE stupid, when I spend every waking moment of my life writing about Troll movies with no trolls in them. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

"It's Elizabeth that smells awful"

Seriously? That's a shame. I mean, Cate Blanchette's hot, but it's hard to cuddle a stinkweasel. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

That is so true... my high school played Elizabeth in football and those guys were stinky on the line. I could barely stay in my stance they stunk so bad!

It is a bit hard to read the word Stinkweasel and not chuckle a bit, regardless of the words around it.

Completely serious.. I'm moving in with my boyfriend, and he lives in Toronto. Actually, my internet probably won't be back on for a while either so that's where I am if I'm missing in action.

Really though, all the apologizing in the world can't make up for Celine Dion

ya your right celine dion is the worst singer ever.We will have to apolgize 3 times for her but you dont have to apolgize for emenem. Most of you guys always say canadians say eh and sometimes we do but its more polite then huh.

I love how most Americans make jokes about the "eh" and don't even get the usage correct. It's like "I went to the store, eh. While I was there, eh, I got some backbacon and Molson, eh."
People, the "eh" just replaces the American "huh."
And I know because not only is my family from Canada, but I spent a great portion of my time between the ages 19 and 21 in Windsor.

example:
"So you like Jergen's lotion, huh?" = "So you like Jergen's lotion, eh?"

Now you try:
"You think Celine Dion looks like a cokehead had sex with a deer, huh?" = _____________________

Favorite Canadian joke:

Do you know how Canada got its name?
They picked three letters out of a hat and read them aloud
"C-eh, N-eh, D-eh."

Don't forget William Shatner, The Moffats, and Pamela Anderson!

On the other hand we have produced SOME cool famous people. Donald and Kiefer Sutherland, Collin Mochrie, Leslie Nielsen, Carrie-Anne Moss, Keanu Reeves (wasn't born here, but he is in fact a Canadian citizen), RUSH, Natasha Henstridge, Jennifer Tilly, Matthew Perry, The Kids in The Hall, Jim Carrey, Phil Hartman, and Michael J. Fox.

Tom Green I have no explanation for.

Don't apologize. We may have "created" them, but America made them famous. America put them on T.V. and the radio every ten seconds. We always jump on the Canadians bandwagon after they get famous in America, then they become famous in Canada. Tom Green, if it wasn't for MTV, nobody outside of Ottawa would know who he is (unless they 'check the O.R.' (did anybody get that?)).

No, you still have to apologize for Rush.

On the other hand, I can't apologize enough for Journey.

No apologies for Rush they have the best drummer ever a-hole.

Robbo_the_Hood

Hmmm, I don't remember John Bonham being in Rush.

On the other hand, Rush is that over-produced corporate rock. It's because of Rush and Journey and disco that the Ramones started emo /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif .

Yeah, and Danny Carey was never in Rush either.

not that I dislike Rush, but I could never enjoy their music over the lead singer. Hate me at will, but I couldn't get past that.

19 is the legal drinking age in Canada, hint, hint.

Honestly though, my friends and I still go to Windsor over Detroit most often because there are more places to go and it's safer.

They are probably made in America. If you look at some of her really early stuff, they are much smaller.
