Charlie's Angels

I just saw the trailer and have to say, it looks awful. I bemoan the fact that the first movie has actually spawned the sequel.
Any comments about the movie(s)?

Yeah, I have a few things to say. First off, what a great misuse of My Sharona. The Knack deserves better. Next, I hated the wire work in the first, which seems to be prevalent in the sequel. In the first it was overly exaggerated, even for a movie that's supposed to be fun and far from reality. The director should have known that great choreography means nothing without properly trained actresses.

What I do like is Bernie Mac, who hopefully gets some decent screen time in the movie. He's no replacement compared to Bill Murray, but Mac is a pretty funny guy. And while its nice to see Demi Moore return to the screens after such a long time (5 years?), I don't know if she's really good villain material.

Well, I don't have much else to say, I pretty much hated the first so I don't see much point in seeing this one. One question: Did the first do good in the Box Office? I don't remember hearing much about it after its theatrical run.

If they have another lispy faux-tough line like "and thath me, kicking your ath" in this one, I'll cut off my ears and sell them on eBay.

I think the first one was brainless and yet kinda fun in places, and I'll see the sequel, mostly to see what Demi's up to (and Crispin Glover, of course) and for fodder for future jokes. Just...that line Drew delivered in the first one still makes me cringe.

I think the only sequel I couldn't possibly take this summer is TOMB RAIDER 2. Of course, I'll probably see that, too. Ahh, Summer...the time of year to waste away hours of your life in a darkened theater seeing shitty movies.

call me wierd, but I cant see anyone matching up to crispin glover. of the three badguys in the first film, he was the "badass"

Anyway 2 will suck because it wont have glovers weirdness, Bill murray and tim curry's bonding on screen and bill murrays funness with the girls, roght now I'd settle for a Jerry "perverted" lawler to flirt with em and say things like "puppies" now that would rule

Oh me of so little faith, theres hope for this film yet. Altho the chances of any of them being ewith thier bf's from the first film? not likely, but it would be a nice touch (drew barrymore excluded for obvious reasons) but they should get matt le bonk and that other guy back.

I'm excited to see Demi Moore again, she's awesome. And Crispin Glover is great, but man did the first one blow.

It amazes me that more people don't appreciate the brilliance of the first Charlie's Angels movie.

And regardless, that new trailer for Halo is as close to perfect as you can get for promoting a summer action movie.

Halo is the most succesful XBOX game on the market, but I think this guy was referring to the new online trailer for HALO 2. Check it out- that game is one of the launch titles for XBOX and still sells for full price. You can hook up 4 XBOXes on a LAN and play with 15 buddies.

The full movie title during shooting was "Charlie's Angels: Halo" and was later changed to "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle". Bartelby is just a little behind in his movie news, I guess...

I can assure you that is most definitely not true. It's more a case of me just being extremely careless and unattentative.

I for one will definately be watching it as I am madly in love with all 3 of the Angels especially Drew. Furthermore the fight scene to Prodigy's Smack Ma Bitch Up is certainly more engaging than the Matrix which just bored me to death with Keanu ' I want to be a tree' Reeves' wooden acting and poorly delivered lines. And that's kicking your ass!!!!!!!
