How well do you know your 2003 Comedies? Following each month below is a quote from a review of a comedy that came out that month.
<ul type="square"> November: "They may as well have skipped the hassle of securing licensing rights and simply called this mess Mike Myers: [censored] in Fur."
October: "If a film can't make you laugh when American Idol host Simon Cowell gets shot at a freestyle rap competition, something is seriously wrong."
September: "The problem with the film is that it doesn’t understand that Emmanuel Lewis kicking the **** out of someone is nowhere near as funny as Emmanuel Lewis himself."
August: "Among movies I've seen where someone eats a dog turd, this ranks fairly high."
July: "Oh, I SAY...let's not make any more British-spy spoofs, shall we?"
June: "A good dumb comedy really needs to be a helluva lot smarterer than this."
May: "Mighty bad, like a lowbrow version of 'It's a Wonderful Life' rewritten by the Farrelly Brothers for a middle-aged Jerry Lewis."
April: "The strikingly superficial [Movie] is too callow to warrant anyone getting an enjoyable hissy fit over...has all the trivial frustration of a brat holding his breath because his parents told him to clean his filthy bedroom."
March: "It's a wigged-out Love Boat where anything goes, and you'll laugh as you see the characters take titanic turns along the way."
February: "This is one of those movies where people turn their heads and you hear a "swoosh"! That sound effect reportedly originated with a head-turn by actor Ben Kingsley. "In a stiff breeze," explained [a lead actor], "Ben's nose could win the America's Cup."
January: "When the kangaroo starts freestyle rapping, you know Charlie has lost it. And so have the people who made this film." [/list]
