<font color="purple">When you think of Mike Myers, you think of the funny guy who kissed Madonna on SNL or the guy who brought the Austin Powers and Shrek movies to life.
However, in the Cat in the Hat, he brought more of a mix of his characters from Austin Powers to Fat Bastard in his feline routine. During some moments during the film, with toothpicks holding up my eyelids, I had to sit back and think, what type of movie am I watching here?
The movie first of all did not follow the book, and the annoyance of Kelly Preston's (love her) 50s June Clever routine was old and dull.
Dakota Fanning is one of those actresses that are so cute when they are young, but in this film her cuteness is out the door and in comes annoyance.
Spencer Breslin, lets not get to that issue.
Overall, the film I did not think was supposed to be drawn to the 'kid' audience, but the more adult and mature crowd. With some sexual innuendos and adult related references.
Overall, the movie sucked and I really do not recommend it, but I saw this with a friend's child who is four and she really enjoyed it. I'm still thinking to myself, why?
Now, Love Actually, there is a movie. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
