hey, am I seeing things or did I just see Kevin in a panasonic commercial? he talks about recording home images, videos, and then has himself lying on the floor covered in DVDs a'la American Beauty. Have seen it several times on MSNBC this morning, and am wondering whether I just drank a little too much coffee this morning.

No, you aren't seeing things. Kevin does commercials for Panasonic. In fact he had done several others for another Panasonic product line a year or so ago. I believe he said there are a few for this particular product (the DVD recorder). There's additional info on it at News Askew and VA.
