I love the movie Scarface it is one of the most interesting and entertaining mob movies ever made. Upon watching it for the second time the other day, I realized that the cinemetographer must have been on that same wacky stuff that Scarface was on.

Considering the movie was filmed in 1983, the transfer to DVD is fan tastic. And the cinematography is certainly better than those MTV quick edits showing up in "best pictures" like Chicago .
Now, the fasions and the soundtrack are extremely dated, and it's comical when one realizes that the only latinos in the movie are the stooges that end up dead after a minute of screen time.
However, I'm still glad I didn't have to buy it.

I actually decided not to buy it, although I love mob movies. I think the movie is very awkward in certain parts, especially the ending, but to its credit, I've never seen such a raw portrayal of organized crime violence. I have never seen anything violence-wise that has remained in my mind as vividly as the chainsaw killings. Very brutal.
Overall, just a personal preference not to buy it. I might end up picking it up later--who knows.
