Oh, and the Red Sox beat the Yankees without having to throw Don Zimmer to the ground again, too, also newsworthy.

Zimmer should not have been charging Martinez, but Martinez was acting like a punk that entire game so I can understand that an old man's stupidity level went up a few notches. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

<font color="purple">Oh, there is no question that Zimmer deserved what he did. But what I don't understand is why zimmer was fined 5,000 bucks and mr. martinez was fined 50,000 bucks.

I say the dude was defending himself and Zimmer should have been the one to fork out 50 grand.

I think it is interesting when people act confused by the fines... Martinez was fined the larger amount for throwing at a players head and then for his unsportsman-like-conduct in pointing to his head and threatening to throw at more players later. He deserved the fine.

Yeah, he did deserve the fine, but not that large sum of the fine. What he did was wrong and was acting like an ass, but he was not the one charging like a 'bull' and making an bigger idiot of himself. Sorry, but Zimmer, in my opinion made, more of an ass to himself than Martinez. </font color>
