Yeah, I keep hearing that all the time. Our college actually has required internships for the last 3 semesters. I imagine the market is slowly expanding, there seems to be production facilities popping up in smaller cities now. But if the field remains the same then I'll have a practically useless degree. Of course I still need to pick a minor, which is sounding like a back-up plan right now.

Starting Monday I'll go back to being a master control operator for the local NBC affiliate... At my fingertips will be the buttons that control what 250,000 people watch- okay, maybe four people are actually tuned in, but I'll have three day weekends again. Lot's of time to realize my dream of becoming a professional bull fighter...

Yeah... right.

Just because I once used your Nebraska album to serve sushi on, does not mean that I don't see the value in it.

It has been so hard around here lately without you Robbo. Woke up this morning, the house was cold. Checked the furnace, she wasn't burning. Went out and hopped in my old Bentley. Called my chauffer to check the engine, but she ain't turning.

Same sad story, that's a fact.

I'm an actor. (movies)
I want to be a director one day.
I just haven't been in a movie quite yet but I met this producer who's casting a movie and wants me to audition for this part in a movie this summer cause she thinks i'm right for the part and it's hard to find 15 year old actors i guess.
I'm getting some head shots done next month.
I'm not even sure if it's a starring role yet cause they havn't told me to much about it yet but it;s in pre-production and the script was just finished.

Razorback
04-19-2003, 06:10 PM
I'm also an actor. Though I have not actually been in anything. However, I had someone who said he was a producer tell me that he had something that has not been written or even greenlighted for pre-pre-production or actually even been conceptualized that I would be PERFECT for even though he has no idea what it might be about or what he is looking for.

Im not an actor, I've not really done anything that got me exceptional praise except my school play, a few monologues and another one off theatre production for a small sitting of about 150 people. I have no acting agent, I am probably not going to perform in anything again unless I write a script for something. But we'll see. One of my previous jobs was a corporate MCSE trainer for IT dept. employees It was a great job, but it had its share of odd adult issues.

Between cell phones, beepers, palms, and the Internet you spend half the day keeping the A.D.D. at bay. Also, unlike children, I had to prove myself more to adults. The respect was not automatically there. I had a great deal of trouble getting the male engineers to not treat me like a bimbo.

Once you get past their issues, adults are more rewarding because they are there to learn, and NOT to screw around.
