yeah, down with love was pretty good, I guess. but it was very corny, cheesy and down right stupid!!! the script was horrible, it was like watching some old 30's play at a really cheap theater, but thats just what I think. /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

HEY, I love watching plays and movies from the 30s.

The film is acutally an 'Doris Day/Rock Hudson' type of film. If you didn't like those then you wouldn't like this movie.

I thought it was very well done even if it was covered with 'cheese.' /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

And Ewan McGregor *Growl*

I think your opinion is pretty stupid.

I thought it was a blast and a wonderful parody of those Day/Hudson movies Smurfgirl referred to. It calls to mind those old classics that are just plain fluffy fun.

If one went into it looking for the roadmap to nirvana they would be sadly disappointed. They created a laughable, enjoyable piece of eye candy, and poked fun at themselves quite well.

I think a pretty nice try but it was very poorly casted, as i am a Ewan fan and i felt that he wasn't right for this role !!

Whose the bad guy? and is it that movie when that stupid blonde bitch gets eaten by a giant koala bear?
(I think I'm lost?)(Was I talking aloud?)........................................... ..............................(Can they hear me now?)

Woah, Woah, Woah...back off there Mr. Sparrow.

It was a perfect role for him. It was a 'jump' off for him. Why would you want to see another movie where he is a junkie or a 'rockstar' when you can go see 'Trainspotting' or 'Velvet Goldmine.'

To be honest, I love seeing him in diverse roles like this one and like his character in Star Wars and in moulin Rouge. The guy has a thing that he brings to every role that makes the role better.

Who's with you? From the looks of it, you'd be lucky to get a giant kuala bear on your side (sorry to steal that from you, gore. hope you don't mind).

I saw that movie while I was on a plane. Cheesy, certainly, but fun to watch nonetheless.

It was a great 'cheesefest.' That's why I bought it on dvd. Cheesefests every weekend.
