do drive up ATMs have the little brail dots on the keypads? Are they there just in case a blind person decides to go out for a nice relaxing drive?

Actually, often they are the same machines (or made by the same company) that are also installed at the walk-up areas. So they use the same buttons.

Because what if a person is driving a blind person to the bank and instead of walking him to the atm, they decided to drive up to the atm with him in the backseat of the car? how would he be able to use the atm?

You know what's fun? Glue sesame seeds to the braile pads to make profane words.
I read somewhere that Ray Charles can drive a car, i sort of believed it until Chris put that pick of him holding the mic backword in this "Clapping" column.

Here's my question..braille on the keypads I can understand, but how do they know what the screen says? All of them are different. Some ask for a language first, some don't.

I think it's so the person can put their PIN in without having to dictate it to someone else. I imagine someone else probably reads the rest of the screen.

that's like..why do hotdogs come in packs of 10 and hot dog buns come in packs of 8
Matthew
10-13-2003, 11:23 PM
Because the last 2 buns always break when you try to cut them?

hotlips_hooligan
10-13-2003, 11:39 PM
Well hell you have all seen clerks.....?
I think the locks are for when the robbers come in and want to hold someone hostage so they have the clerk lock the door.... orrrrr maybe it's so that when the clerk wants to have a booty call in the back he can lock up for a min .. (ok sec in some of your cases) hehe orrrrrr maybe so that if they wanna smoke a lil sumpin sumpin they can lock up??? Am I close yet?????? /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I think they have locks on the door just in case a robber comes in they could trap them inside while they hide until the police comes.

I worked graveyard shift at a 24 hour convenience store while I was in college. I was the only one there at night and I didn't have a key to the front door. Nor did I have a key to the bathroom door for when a homeless guy locked himself in there for the night.

I woulda just jumped in there and kicked down the door. I would then yell "Get out, [censored]!" Then I would imitate the Wolverine Berzerker attack.

Yeah, that was one of many options I was considering at the time. As I've grown older I've found that the Wolvey Berserker attack is generally the best solution to most problems.

God, I hated working early in the morning at 3 a.m. when I used to work for the local radio station out here. It was hell and made me realize why I never applied for the local 7-11 when they were needing the help. And it futhur made me more scared of the dark than I acutally am.

That and a nearly complete lack of sleep is probably why I had a breakdown, quit the job and dropped out of school for a while. Ahhh, good times. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Okay, here is the difinitive answer on why 24-hour stores, like 7-11, have locks on them. It is for when they are robbed, but not to lock the perp inside. It is to lock him/her out when they leave, thus preventing them entry if the cops arrive before they can flea. This way, people in the store won't be taken hostage.

That can't be it, it makes way too much sense. Here's my question, what do they put for 'hair color' on the driver's license of a bald person?
code6enterprises
10-15-2003, 09:29 AM
Eyebrow color.
ratm1966
10-15-2003, 01:05 PM
depending on the format of the entry, either BLD or BD stands for Bald.

they have to go to the bathroom at night. and they cant leave the place opened and unattended
