This may sound kinda corny, but I was just wondering when everybody's birthday is. You can give your sign and whatever other information you deem pertinent as well--you don't have to say how old you are if you don't want. Mine is today /forums/images/icons/grin.gif ...and I'm 23! Woohoo! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Mine is the 27th of December. Yeah, two days after Christmas, which normally meant less gifts, because the two dates were so close to each other. I will be 37 later this year.

My dad's birthday was the 26th of December, so he often got the same shaft, despite all the holiday cheer. On the bright side, it's harder for people to forget your birthday, being so close to Christmas /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

You know, you would think that having a major holiday close to an important date would have that effect. Maybe it does for most people, and then there is me. My little sister's wedding anniversary is on my birthday. I forgot about it the first year.

Thanks, RB. I think at the end, when everybody has posted their birthdays, I'm going to condense the list so we can all remember everybody's birthday.

Think it's likely to happen? Maybe not...as sad as this is, I forgot my own birthday. I made plans earlier this week with a friend to hang out today, and now, of course my family wants to celebrate. Very sad.

Rewind a sec, I was born on May 3rd. A Thursday. at 10:01 PM. What's creepy is that my dad was born on the same day, day of the week, hour, and minute as me (Not the same year though. I said creepy, not twisted and evil). My cousin was also born a year later on May 3rd. Yeah, birthdays were hell in my family.

September 28, 1976 at 12:01am. I was 3 weeks late and my mom was 42 hours in labor. As I explained to her, I was quite comfortable where I was.

You people are making me feel old at 27. Although my mom reminded me that she was pregnant with me and had been married 4 years by this point in her life. No guilt tripping there. My response was she got married way too young.

I share a birthday with Tom Cruise, Smurfette and strangely...About 4 other people around here. July 3. And I'm older than everyone here, by at least a year, but mostly by a decade. And you guys with the December birthdays are going about this all wrong. You need to tell people about the expensive gift you want and tell them that they can get it for you as a "combo gift". It's worked for my best friend for years...The friend with all the great jewelry and the big screen TV...

Historical events for June 7th and not "&th" as previously posted in thread /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

1498 Christopher Columbus left on his third voyage of exploration.

1954 The U.S. Supreme Court upholds the Federal Power Commission price regulation of natural gas piped interstate in a 5-to-3 decision handed down in Phillips Petroleum Co. v. Wisconsin.

1981 Israel attacks an Iraqi nuclear research centre at Tuwaythah near Baghdad.

1993 The Supreme Court in "Lamb's Chapel v. Center for Moriches Union Free School District" ruled that religious groups may, in some cases, meet on school property after hours. The justices also let stand the federal appeals court ruling which allowed student-led prayers at graduation ceremonies.

1996 Hazel O'leary, Department of Energy Secretary is reported by the CSM that she has already spent $4.57 million for overseas travel.

1996 The Clinton White House acknowledged it had "accidentally" obtained the FBI files of House Speaker Newt Gingrich's press secretary, former Bush chief of staff James A. Baker III and other appointees from Republican administrations, by "an innocent bureaucratic mistake."
