Seems to me the Shoot is lacking for good topics. Where are you, Gorefollower, when we need you most?
Anyway, I figured I would do something about it...and I came up with the top few things/events/people that are bothering me right now, and the top most promising things/events I see as I think about my current situation and what's coming up in the near future. So, here are mine.
Annoying:
1. Mario van Peebles trying to be a cowboy
2. The race in CA, it seriously needs to be over.
3. The American judicial branch trying to take over
4. My Americorps volunteer coordinator not having her shit together
5. My car inspection this month
6. My court appointment tomorrow
7. Watching my home life crumble before my very eyes
Good or Promising:
1. A lovely potential lady friend...
2. The beginning of my job
3. Joe Scarborough
4. LOTR and Matrix sequels
5. Hopefully I'll be picking up a new hobby soon, beekeeping, which I've been interested in for a long time.
6. My new-found interest in classical music, particularly Beethoven.
7. I'm taking Spanish lessons now, and have found a really cool tutor.
Okay, let's hear yours..what's on your mind? Doesn't have to be 7 of each, just spill whatever you got.

I was actually over Gorefollower's house today and he told me that he does in fact read some of the posts sometimes but he probably won't post until later in this month. But don't worry i am pretty sure he will be coming back.

I'm finally moving into a new apartment this coming Thrusday. Which is really terrific for me cause the current place I'm staying now is getting much too crowded for me. Having roomates are great, but four people living in a two bedroom apartment? And it's not as if it's a big place to begin with. But what sucks the most is that they don't want to get cable tv. I've been living for two months without tv. Granted that it's not a necessity, but there's nothing for me to do after classes.

I'd rather be living in New York than California, but that is a whole long story.
Annoying:
1. Having no money
2. Catching myself watching 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' on HBO even though I have seen it so many times and own it on dvd. I think I will burn it.
3. Taking my little brother to school.
4. Washing my car and then it gets rained on the next day.
Happy about:
1. My cat deja for 'cheering' me on while I clean the kitchen
2. Starbucks
3. The hot bagel guy
4. Trading Spaces
5. My new work computer
and that is all I am happy about at this moment.

I forgot that one! Good call. I guess I've just adjusted to being flat broke. I know by heart every dollar menu in every area fast food restaurant.

Thanks, that's very sweet of you. I'm sure everything will get better when I finally move out.
There's one more thing to be happy about though--I like you, we all like you at the Poop Shoot, and, like Mr. Rogers used to say, "You're special, just for being you."
That's worth smiling about, right? /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Actually, that picture reminds me of this 70's workshop safety video that they banned from school a long time ago (didn't stop my industrial arts teacher from showing it). This old guy named Lucky, who has about 5 fingers left, is showing how not to use a table saw by throwing pieces of wood on it. All these slits of wood hit the saw and go flying through the air and into a wall. Anyway, one of his assistants happens to be walking behind ol' Lucky and a piece of wood goes right through the guy. He dies of bleeding that very day. After seeing that, I don't think our class had an accident the whole year.

Maul, I saw that video too. They showed it to us in Driver's Ed class when we had a sub. Very educational.
