Absolutely not. I have that movie running in my mind every day and it would piss me off to see someone (other than the families of the victims) profit from it.

50 to 90 years from now, they'll probably make some monstronsity of a film just like titanic and pearl harbour

To clarify:
thbbbbt= putting your tongue between your lips and blowing. I can't think of a greater travesty. Plus, I'm not happy about people profiting so much in the past decade or so off of the events of WWII. It just cheapens the sacrifices made. I hate that I love movies like Saving Private Ryan- I think it is important that the stories be told, but I think it blows that the only reason it happens is because someone will profit from it.

Yeah I was thinking that would be in pretty bad taste too. Just checking!

I don't care about the subject matter. If they get a good cast and crew together and make a good movie about it, sure, why not. If it's crap, then no.

If they do get the movie made it'll be produced by Bruckheimer and probably involve some love triangle where the nice guy that doesn't have a chance ends up being under the tower, and the guy that was loved all along will be left to look after the girl in the aftermath.
Regardless, if they do it now, it'll be a half-assed telling of what went on with a billion dollar budget. And the add campaign will make it sound like it is your patriotic duty as an American to see this film. And everyone will see it and pretend it's good except for the famalies and people who actually like and/or study film.
Think ID4 meets Pearl Harbor.

Because that's the criteria for every movie made now.
