Are you from a small community living under a large boulder? Are you from Boulder? Do you like Cheese Wiz? Would you like to know my record for most consequtive questions asked?

How old are you? Are you healthy? Are you mentally healthy? Are you a writer? If so, how can you justify raping the English language with your writing?

What would you expect? I posted a thread asking about a program that can access all my webmails, and I still haven't gotten any worthwhile suggestions yet.

Maybe the reason nobody has provided you the answer to your E-mail clients issue is the fact that there is not an answer.

Well that could be an answer. But of the number of people posting here, you'd expected at least one or two.

No, my point was that you are trying to do something that is not able to be done. Combining vendors rarely works. Some will let another vendor access them via Pop accounts, like Outlook does to Hotmail (Microsoft to Microsoft). However, these companies do not want you using software other than theirs so they do not let other clients contact their POP server. It is not that it can't be done technically, it is just a proprietary thing.

You may find a few programs that work with a couple different types of email account providers but not one that checks them all.

Okay, thanks. That's the best advice I've heard so far. I'm pretty much just an illiterate when it comes to these things.

Your best bet is to get one e-mail address that routes all of your mail to a single-point address (like what Bigfoot.com has).

Well alright. Thanks for the tip.

I know this guy named paulie who "lends" out money.
He's usually at the Italian-American "social club" down in howard beach, queens.
He's pretty strict on the re-payment though. Ya know, if you miss a payment... Ya kinda get ya fingers all twisted up and stuff. Miss another one, oh boy... lots of concrete in your future.
Or, you can shake that money maker on the strip.
You have to watch out for the cops though. But man, the money will just roll in... and it will give you some good ideas for stories too!
Actually, you can meet many people from the film industry that way. It's your foot in the door man! You're golden! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

How many of your 'friends' have you 'recommended' to this guy whom you never heard from again?

Yeah, I tried my best to help you, Strife. And I said pretty much exactly what Zen said. That's gay to act like no one tried to answer your question. Don't be an ungrateful bastard. No one likes an ungrateful bastard.

I didn't mean to sound ungrateful. You're advice in the other post is much appreciated. It just slipped my mind when I was posting my reply. I didn't get enough sleep last night andd my minds a little muddled up. Please don't make me out to be an indecent [censored] who is prejudiced or something. So the best I can do is offer a sincere apology. I'm not looking to create any enmity here.

Well, I've finally reached 1000 posts, in under a month no less. I would say this proves that I have the least social life than the rest of you. Don't know whether to be happy or sad about it. Not that it makes anykind of difference at all. I'm sure some of you have some 'things' to say about me, but fact is, RB is right about one thing, I should certainly stop posting whenever the fancy strikes me and try to post more intelligent and less pointless posts.

On a last note, I think I am a loser by choice....

Strife, no worries man. Congrats on your self-proclaimed title of 'most pathetic and sad social life'. You might well be right, but on the bright side, Movie Poop Shoot isn't exactly rock bottom either. We do have a lot of fun, and it's cool you're here. Maybe you'll transform one day from the Shoot Steve Urkel into Stephen Urkell. Many probably won't get that reference, and that reflects a sad fact that I did watch too much of that show, but hey, it's his 1000th post. So, let's celebrate!

[Grabs a beer and heads on over to the celebratory thread, and, oh yeah, grabs the brownies! Realizes ironically that this is my 420th post]

Hmmm... I think about thirty or forty "friends". /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
But let's talk about something more important...
DAMN! You hit a thousand posts! Congrats and a golf clap for you! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
My GOD, I think you broke a record or something!

JK

A thousand posts since 9/06... yay. I must have a life then if I'm just now hitting a hundred... Funny, I don't FEEL like I have a life...

As far as money to shoot a short... Beg, borrow, steal. They're called shorts because you can't get the money to do a feature length... Seriously, be creative- have a bake sale or even a garage sale. Check with local colleges about renting equipment. And when you do get some money, set up a budget and stick with it. It sucks to get halfway through production and you run out of cash to get Kayro syrup and food dye or tape/film.

Hey! I gave you a friggin honest reply when you asked about an e-mail client. I said I never used it that way, but I thought Netscape Communicator's e-mail program had abilities to download mail from other accounts.

Oh, and have you tried any of the chat programs like ICQ? That one has it's own e-mail and also allows you to get pop mail from other accounts.

EternalStrife

Thanks, man. Sorry I can't come up with another long apology like my previous one. I do use netscape's email program, but I only use it to check my netscape webmails, as I have quite a few of them. About the ICQ, I only use it to receive short messages from friends and classmates whenever I'm connected with a computer. Otherwise, I only use MSN messenger for chatting. Also, the audio and webcam features on messenger is easier for me to handle.

Graham. I'm impressed that at least you haven't flipped out and you have stayed polite through all this. However, the point is that if any of us had any easy answers to that question we wouldn't say so anyway because it wouldn't be in our best interests to do so. It's like asking 'Does anybody know where I can get a really high paying job where I don't have to work at all and I won't have to have any special skills or education?'

Yea, the traditional way of getting film money is selling everything you own (up to and including your ass), to finance it. Ask what happend to Kevin Smith's comic collection...
