Anyone? I watched it with my most enthusiastic people i could haver ever imagined. It was an ok fight, even though DeLaHoya kept running scared and sugar shane should have kicked his ass. But, the outcome of the match was great! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif Yea, i am not as happy about it as I was on Sat. I must be tired.

That is strange. I would have commented sooner, but after spouting off the night it happened (think lots of beer and my winning a bet) I had to take a break. I am not a De La Hoya fan, but I do agree he had a major gripe. Even Sugar Shane looked shocked as hell when they announced his name. Either I am retarded, or I watched a different fight than the 3 judges. [For a lovely pro-De La Hoya viewpoint, talk to the guy I won money off of.]
George Foreman got pretty lippy in the after interview, going for the whole 'conspiracy' kind of talk. I will say, the bookies may have helped make themselves some darn good money on this one.

Sugar Shane could have fought better. I thought somewhat the match was kind of like a way to get money from the crowd and people watching tv. But, DeLaHoya was like bugging me by walking backwards away from Mosley, I was like screaming at the TV, do you want this, then go for the kill! Scoring wise DeLaHoya had the most points, right? I was confused at the end when Mosley won because I went to the bathroom and I was irritated by how slow things were going, but overall it was an ok fight.
I would love to see Tyson get back into the ring soon. His bankrupt butt needs to get into a good fight. Maybe with Lewis?

I was busy and missed the fight. Sounds like I didn't miss anything but another "fix".

I've heard that Tyson's next fight is going to be a K-1 fight in Japan against Bob Sapp, a guy that went to the same elementary, junior high, and high school as me.
Jim Lampley was filling in on the Jim Rome show on Monday, so there was obviously alot of talk about the Mosley-De La Hoya fight. It seemed like every caller that called about De La Hoya getting robbed sounded Hispanic, and everyone who agreed with the decision didn't sound Hispanic. I'm not sure if this is a case of everybody that isn't Hispanic being blinded because they wanted De La Hoya to lose, or a case of everybody that is Hispanic be blinded because they wanted De La Hoya to win. It seems like it could go either way.
Alas, I have yet to see the fight, so I can't really comment.
I missed the fight.
Maybe I'll get a chance to see it when it re-airs.
What happened exactly?

Yep i watched the roberry oops fight !! I had De La Hoya winning by a mile sure Shane was the "aggressor" in terms of walkin forwards but in boxing to score points i thought you had to throw and land punches too!!
Its kinda weird you guys in the USA score fights very differently to us it was kinda strange seeing the after fight interviews with the american commentators most of them had shane winning whereas the UK guys all chose de la hoya just shows how opinions all differ i guess?
Anyways did you see Miguel Cotto on the undercard a future superstar no doubt he has got everything!!!!

Nothing is better then seeing two guys beat the heck outta each other for millions of dollars. You could go to a bar on a Sat. night and see the same thing for free.
So...
I saw the repeat of the fight on sat. night...
De la hoya was ROBBED.
After the fight and the ensuing "judgement" I wanted to throw up.
If this is how boxing is going to be played out in the future, I am going to spend my time with other worthwhile pursuits.
The headbutt was not accidental. This is a tactic Mosley has used in the past. It's the mark of a prize fighter, not a professional.
As for De la hoya backing up in some of the later rounds, He was doing what any pro should do.
Any of you who have had some training, knows what I'm talking about.
True, Mosley rallied in the last three rounds, but not enough to warrant the win.
In all, there were some great exchanges and combinations during the match, that was nice to see.
Mosley is no slouch, but he is not the true winner of that bout. /forums/images/icons/mad.gif /forums/images/icons/confused.gif
