I was just curious, this board seems to talk about movies a lot, but I wanted to ask 2 questions to those that actually attend the Theater.

1. Favorite play/musical etc
2. Favorite song from a play/musical etc.

For me...

1. Fiddler On the Roof
2. Castle in the Clouds (Cosette's song in Les Miserables)

Good call, Matthew. My choices are pretty easy:

1. Gilbert & Sullivan, H.M.S. Pinafore
2. The Music of the Night (Phantom of the Opera)

AHH HMS "I'm called little butter cup, sweet little buttercup."

Phantom also is a good one, I played Organ when the MN Orchestra did it!

1. West Side Story
2. Jubilation T. Cornpone from Lil' Abner. I don't know why, but I love that song.

My favorite line in the whole play is when Buttercup says, "I'm an acquired taste!"

I was in a performance of Oliver a few years back and that was really cool. But that's not my favorite.

1. Hair
2. Pick a Pocket or Two - Oliver

Seeing The Lion King on Broadway in NYC was a transcendental moment for me, even if tickets were 250 dollars apiece. I also love Les Miserables.

I enjoy so many. Rent, Little Shop, Arsenic and Old Lace, Odd Couple, too hard to pick. Two that I had a blast at were School House Rock live off-broadway, and Star Arguments, where a small K to 8th grade theater company performed a no-budget version of the Star Wars: New Hope screenplay. It was great, and not just in a cute kids way. Legitimately funny.

Songs. Feed Me; La vie Bohemme; Pinball Wizard; Luck be a Lady... damn, still too many.
