I know what you mean. It's kind of embarrassing to say this, but I always feel cooler after I watch The Matrix. Cheesy, yes.
I bet no one else does this though--have you ever been in a movie that was so corny that you were embarrassed and your face started turning red? I have.

I feel hip after every Quentin Tarantino film. But I do feel like putting my foot in someone's ass after watching a good kung fu movie!

I always feel cool. I have no idea what it is like to feel "hip."

To me, hip is being dorky but feeling good about it.

Did you just call him "round and tubby"? I know his avatar with the joke-trucker mustache is a bit odd, but he is not round and tubby. I can vouch for that.

first time I saw kids I went around punching the wall till my knuckles bled, I was 15 at the time.
chasing amy cheers me up when I have those depressive blues.
and any film with some cool voilence makes me feel like being all badass and bringing some hardcore pain for myself.

watching fight club makes me want to put myself through a glass table and jizz in peoples soup. General coolness, I guess that would be imitating Jude law in A.I so watching that leads to me feeling cool

Rocky horror inspires dance numbers, singing, and general acting like a freak, but I don't think that counts as coolness.

Hmmm, it might technically count as "hip," but it's a weirdness hip. Like the "nobody knows why the hell your pulling out vocal and dance numbers in Walmart at 1am, so they're not cool enough" hip.

Definition of hip:
"The laterally projecting region of each side of the lower or posterior part of the mammalian trunk formed by the lateral parts of the pelvis and upper part of the femur together with the fleshy parts covering them."
Oops, wrong one.....
Here we are:
"Characterized by a keen informed awareness of or involvement in the newest developments or styles."

I feel like a hippy when I watch 2001: Space Odysee. All those crazy colors at the end make me know how it feels to be the hippy on acid.

That movie was slow and tedious, as was with the second one. I can't believe you got 'hip' watching that antiquarian roll of film known as a movie.
