Here's my list of songs that would be good for Resident Evil Apocolypse(Coming 2004):

1. Marilyn Manson-mOBSCENE
2. Slayer-Ghosts of War
3. Metallica-Damage, Inc.
4. Pantera-Stregnth Beyond Strenth
5. Venom-Welcome to Hell(An old metal song from 1980... not very famous)
6. Korn-Did My Time
7. Slayer-Raining Blood
8. Sh*tlist(Who does this song??? Someone tell me. It's the song on Pet Sematary Two, it goes, "you've made my sh*t list! SH*TLIST!)
9. Slipknot-Distasterpiece
10. Biohazard-Kill or be Killed
11. Black Label Society-Suffering Overdue
12. System of a Down-Aerials
13. Slayer-War Ensemble
14. Black Label Society-Doomsday Jesus

(m)OBSCENE is totally inappropriate for the next soundtrack.
I think that Use your fist and not your mouth would be more appropriate from that Album.

Why not the "Why can't we be freinds" song. Hasn't anyone thought of that?

Honestly, i think it should be all new tracks for the soundtrack, not just album cuts...i mean, that's usually why i buy soundtracks anyway, to get the songs i can't get anywhere else.

And i thought they were going to call it RESIDENT EVIL NEMESIS...which would rule.

Personally, i loved the first one, just about the best VG flick since the first MK...

Don't get me started on this topic, i could rant for weeks...

My favourite scene from the first movie was with the corridor with the lasers. First time I ever seen a man die on screen like that. Just love it how hollywood is always coming up with interesting ways for people to die.

I thought the film was pretty lacking, considering that the games scare me much more than the movie did. Still, it was pretty cool to see 100's of zombies in office outfits, and the idea of zombies waiting in knee deep water was pretty freaky. I do think that the sequel has a lot of potential, hopefully it will use the Nemesis character which is hinted at the end of the first.

The first movie was okay, the sequel (http://insideresidentevil.com/Secrets/index.shtml) however, show's A LOT more promise. Better monster (Nemesis), characters who were actually in the games,

The hotness:

...and the best part: PAUL ANDERSON ISN'T DIRECTING!

Long as they get mason back for a killer musical score, RE2 should be far better.

How is that the BEST part? As far as i'm concerned, that's the worst part. He's the only director who's gotten video game movies RIGHT. First MORTAL KOMBAT then RE...he had nothing to do with the second MK flick, which is one of the MANY reasons it sucked (and there are many...i'll rant soon, i swear). Paul Anderson should do more video game flicks, seriously...RE had enough of a connection to the games without being a repeat of the exact game stiryline in a movie. And while that would still be kickass, it's been done before. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD anyone? Hell, just about ANY zombie flick this side of Evil Dead. There were enough subtle throwbacks to the games that kept the hardcore fans of the series (like myself) interested. Yeah, it wasn't as scary, but that's Hollywood for you. Spider-man had organic webs. Blah blah frikkin' blah.

I just hope he's still WRITING the sequel, at least, or it's gonna suck ass.

:pNot that I'm agreeing with you, but if Ian lost any cool points from that, he's had five or six years to earn them back. :D

also, Resident Evil was straight-up bitchin'.

Actually, I would side with Ian on this too.
MK and RE are the only two decent videogame flicks I can think of

Its not great, but its a damn sight better than the sequel.

That is not a valid reason to like it.

(The third one wasn't bad, though...) :p

Yeah, with years of hindsight now, its hard to fault Mortal Kombat the movie for being a cheesy, campy action flick, when the Mortal Kombat games themselves are exploitative games with cheesy storylines.

Heh, I don't about you Darth, but when I see Threadkiller post from 2003 I kinda feel like a different person posted it.
