...and sodomy!!"
These are lyrics taken from 3 Marilyn Manson songs, Cake and Sodomy, Everlasting C***Sucker, and White Trash. Why should I make these lyrics the topic of a post?? Well, you see all the people who are into that kinda thing can have their Cake in celebration of Sodomy being legal. Marilyn Manson had released these songs back in '95 though... this makes me wonder was he illegally sodomizing girls? The answer: I don't wanna know. Another good question, how can a police officer bust someone for that??
The albums which had these Lyrics:

Bible-belt 'round Anglo-waste
putting sinners in their place
Yeah right great if you're so good
Explain the shit stains on your face
White Trash get down on your knees
Time for cake and sodomy...

Been a long time since I threw that album in...

Ah, the classics...

I personally am going backwards chronologically in musical tastes. I think most modern stuff, Marilyn Manson particularly, is a guise used by the music industry to milk today's youth of their hard-earned, low income wages. To his credit, it's worked. But I'm just not that impressed with a guy who saws livestock in half and talks about how bad he is.

No one, ever, will be bad in my book, as long as he wears Mascara.

While I have no love for Manson's music, I do think that he is one of the most intelligent personalities in the media. Someone with that much going on in his head must have some point to his music (even if I don't particularly like it) other than the milking of today's youth of their not-so-hard-earned income.

He is definitely a marketing genious but his bible references are so well done. E.g. lines such as "I never really hated the one true god, but the god of the people I hated" and "If John was a baptist we'd drink wine from his head" show that he really researches what he mocks. He is also a big anit drug activist "Lots of pretty pretty ones wanna get you high but all the pretty pretty ones will leave you alone and blow your mind" and "I don't like the drugs but the drugs like me" finally "Amphetamines for boys crucifixes for ladies."
