How do you people like your coffee? Mine is just with a sugar and cream and I'm set!

I like my coffee strong and black. None of that sissy stuff added unless you are having a cappuccino.

I plead Ad Rock on this one
"I like my sugar with coffee and cream." I prefer espresso though.

I'm not a coffee person. I usually have a coke for breakfast. But, I do like A Mocha Frapp from Starbucks. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif The best way to drink coffee.
Nobody likes the way I make coffee at work- one pack is suppossed to make 12 cups- I only put in six cups of water and I run the brew through a second time. I like coffee that'll stick to your ribs as well as your spoon.

Black, and thick enough to stand a fork up in it.

I too prefer my caffeine cold- give me a Coke instead of a coffee any day. But if that's all there is, I'll take it with a cream and about 3 packets of sugar.

People look at me funny when I order Mt. Dew with breakfast, but I see it as being no different than coffee.

I think it's because you put cream and sugar in it.

Project Zing is moving along quite nicely. The message boards seem to be warming up to it, as do my conversational friends. I have even begun hearing the occasional perimeter friend utter that delectable little word.
Once the pop culture audience embraces it, Zing shall overtake "As if!" and "Don' be redicculous!" in popularity and longevity. And then... the ZingBots!
[paranoid glance over shoulder]
[sees a security guard waving a friendly hello]

I think I'm going quite mad. Quite mad indeed.
Zing on!

I get a lot of grief when I make coffee. Apparently make it too strong. Some nonsense about you're not supposed to paint walls with it. Whatever. I like it uber strong and uber sweet.

I'm really surprised that nobody has gone with "The way I like my women: hot, black and sweet"! We must have the "mature" group of poop shooters here today.

And by the way, I wasn't yelling that; the title really is "Airplane!"

Do you like to watch films about Gladiators?
Have you ever seen a grown man naked?
Anyway...I like my coffee all kinds of ways. Lately I have been grinding and brewing my own Ghirardelli Chocolate Raspberry coffee(1 tbsp grind per 6oz of water). Then I throw it in a shaker with ice and cream and a touch of sugar to make a nice ice-coffee. It was too hot around here to be drinking it the normal way.

OH! I was wondering if anyone here has a French press? I mean Freedom press. Whatever. I am thinking about getting one plus a grinder. Yes, I was inspired by Queer Eye.
Anyhooters, are there any opinions out there?
Zens_7s

I don't have a French Press, but the grinder is essential. Also, I found it makes a huge difference if you watch your bean care. Air and moisture and heat will sap the good parts of the bean before you even grind it. If you buy pre-ground you are really killing the flavor.
The advice I follow is
* always buy full beans
* once the package is opened, refridgerate your remaining beans
* take out the extra air in the bean package and seal tightly
* grind daily instead of saving grounds because they lose flavor and get bitter
With a regular pot be sure to clean it with one drip cycle of vinegar followed by three drips of plain water every three months to remove bitter buildup. Also take the grounds out right after the last drip is done and throw out. If you leave it there the bitter leftovers drip down into your pot.
Thank you for watching Julia Child today...next week...tossing the salad...

Thanks for the tips. Actually, I do a lot of that except keep whole beans and grind daily.
Though, there's something that concerns me. That's the second butt-play joke you've made in two days. Zens, I thought I should clarify that's not what I meant when I called and asked for a "booty"-call.

I have tried to make coffee before, but I made it too strong and people constantly had to put loads of water in their cups. So, I have never tried to make it since..
Some other things I can't make:
*Mac and Cheese (I even burn the microwaveable stuff).
* White Rice (I'm working on that one)
I know, I am pretty sad.

Oh my lord! You are right! Neither one was intentionally referring to the actual act. Just random phrases. Dear lord.
Besides, I know what you mean when you asked for a "booty" call. If you have forgotten, you did spell it out for me quite plainly on the phone. Something about, "tell me I'm a bad, bad boy"...

I live with the horrible curse of getting no buzz from a cup of coffee. I seriously need about 4 cups before I feel any effects of caffeine. I like coffee with just a little cream and sugar, but when I really need a boost, I usually go for esspresso shots.

Has anyone tried coke(the soft drink) with their coffee? I hear it gives you a better hit of caffine! (But of course, if I drank something that horrible 6 0'clock in the morning I would be wide awake.)

My sister-in-law drinks those Starbuck Double Shots instead of coffee, so I tried one at her house this morning. It does the trick quite nicely. Two or three and I could have jogged home from Iowa.

Well, my favorite beans are:
1.Arabian Mocha Java: Well, this is the dessert selection; aside from that, this is the bean to beat.
2.Serena Organic Blend (Latin and East African Mix): Of everything I've tried, this stands as goldie locks selection, good parts of eveything you look for in coffee.
3.Guatemala Antigua: Nice and robust; reminds me of that Kevin Spacey scene in Usual Suspects.
