Other than Kevin, I mean. I'll be there around 10 or so. I'm the guy limping in with the big leg brace. Damn sprained ankle.

I'll be there! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif I am bringing a friend that I am uncomfortable with (meaning that I went out with him and all but it didn't work out) because I opened my big mouth! I am going to be there actually early so I can find the place and all, so I am thinking about 9 p.m. I will be in the area.

Yep. Agreed. People from "The O.C. (Bitch)" have all the fun.
Wierd memory jog...I just remembered that a broken ankle was the whole reason I ended up becoming a poster on the Poop. I needed entertainment while I couldn't move.
Damn Californians!

I don't live in the OC. Used to. I live in near the city of Corona where if you walked in with you 'high and mighty' ass we will kill ya! If you watch the OC, you will know what I mean. The Inland Empire is soo hardcore, stay away.....

I'll be there...around 10 as well. I'll be the tall wearing the Brodie shirt. (i can be such a geek sometimes)

I'm going to drag myself and one of my best friends with me. He's a fan, but hasn't been on the boards despite my prompting.
Ilovepapasmurf is picking me up. She rocks! As does Denyse for offering as well!
I think because I still feel kind of crappy and I want to be comfy...I will be ubergeek and wear my moviepoopshoot shirt. So, I'll be easy to recognize...the hald dead looking girl with the word poop on her shirt.

Count me in, although I'll be coming solo...All of my friends are old and need their sleep. Me? I'm taking a nap first!

I wanna go, but it is a long way from MN. I agree with karmattack though, I can not express my contempt!
Seriously, you all have fun!

Seriously though, it's not as if I can just drop everything I'm doing at the moment and go see some flick by some director that almost none of my friends have even heard of. No offence to Kevin, but I do love his films. It's just that I don't think it's all that widely spread enough. Especially not to all other countries around the world.
Well actually, I can't go because I live in NY. Sucks to be me.
P.S: By the way, how do I get rid of the riduculous 'stranger' mark under my nick.?

So? Are you going to debrief us? Excuse me?! No, that's not what I meant. Although There will be plenty of time for that later on, rest assured. What I meant was are you going to tell us about the movie last night?

Stop being strange? That would go against the very basis of my individualism and irrefutable characteristic of a steppenwolf-like enitity. I'm incorrigible that way.

You just got in? Wow, I knew that the I.E. was a good distance from there but...
Veddy nice to meet you (all of you who came) -- I was pretty much a worthless wreck all day today but it was fun. Kevin said he got out of there around 5:20 AM.

No, I had just opened my eyes and said hello to a wonderful Saturday evening.
Anyways, it was really nice to meet you as well. I was just really tired. Four hours of sleep and being up for over 24 hours is not good.
Poor kev. I wanted an autograph but said, you know what, I am tired as all hell, imagine how tired he must be. He is a great guy. Thanks for letting me know about this event. And mallrats was great! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

It was great chatting with everyone. I was so tired. I died when I got in and woke up somewhere in the neighborhood of 2pm the next day. I'm glad everyone got home okay.
For those clueless, the screening went until say 2am and then Kevin answered questions. Actually, he answered everyone's question until people were to tired to lift their arms or shout out questions. He stopped around 4:30am. He then stayed and signed things.
The screening was the largest crowd for a midnight showing since they started doing them 2 years ago. There were 420 people there. How appropriate.

Well the West Australian screening of Mallrats went down a treat too! Decided to screen it at 8.30pm and the audience consisted of me and Harrison, my dog. Harrison really enjoyed it (it was his first viewing!) After the film Kevin answered questions via the audio commentary. Then we got up and danced to The Goops' Build Me Up Buttercup. It was a huge night! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

The midwest screening included no actual watching of Mallrats, but Code6 turning on his webcam to demonstrate his love of Shannen Doherty was quite sweet.

And that is precisely why I am obsessively fanatical about stalking down the maniacs who torment Code6 daily. It's hard to be a male model.

Yes. It's hard to try to stop myself, especially since Code6 never does anything stalk worthy. He just sits in his boxers eating Cheetos all day and watching Family Guy reruns. But sometimes a person is just compelled. COMPELLED to do things against their will. You keep it up and I may boil your bunny next.

I want to note for the record that I too was wearing my moviepoopshoot shirt, but it's being blocked in both pictures.
And in case anyone really cares (which no one probably does), but the phantom editor was there. He's in the first pic and took the group shot.

Thank you...Scott's friend Perry already hassled me about not being mentioned, but I have to say, even at the best of times, I'm terrible at remembering everyone's names, and this night, sick and hobbled as I was, I completely blanked, so I cheated and just said "The Gang."
FanGirl
09-08-2003, 06:32 PM
No, it's okay not being mentioned at all. No, it's fine. It's funny enough when you search my name on google it already comes up with the shoot as is. No, really it's fine forgetting me. Doesn't bother me in the least. Nope. Not in the least. Barely even noticed really.

They mentioned they were going to try to get the others in at some point. Kevin said they had a 35mm print of Dogma from Cannes which has scenes that were edited out before the theatrical release. I'm so there for all of the flicks. I will drink insane amounts of caffeine next time.
Personally, I can't wait for Bubba Ho-Tep on Oct.3rd. Word on the street is Brunce Campbell might be there.
