Are the serious!? A movie with Johnny Depp as a pirate.. ARRR.. And to top it all off i heard this movie is being produced by DISNEY! I took a survey at my local mall... Looks like a real kids film. Pirates turning into skeletons shedding blood and getting drunk while they are at it.. I for one have some sense and will NOT be going to see this movie. If you even take the time to watch a preview I think you should go kill yourself , but only if you liked it =D

The trailer is awesome. It's funny and creepy.
The movie stars Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush and is directed by the director of THE RING, so I'm there.

"I did see the trailer, I proboly would have like a good factor of skeletons protecting like gold or some crap that"
I have no idea what this means. I'd respond, but I don't understand you.
"s like a curse."
Still no clue.
"men turning into skeletons wtf?"
Um, it's a fantasy/horror/adventure movie. Did you have problems with the arc melting people in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARC?
And this is Disney... Whats up here Ill proboly watch it in 20 years
When you're mature enough? I have no idea what this means.

That trailer was OUTSTANDING... and if they're so out of ideas that they're gonna make amusement park rides into movies, that one's a damned good place to start.
Plust I can't think of a single Johnny Depp film I've seen that wasn't good.
(Or Orlando Bloom, but hey, he's only been in two movies ;-))

I agree the trailer looks great. I'll be there for this one.
BTW why would you automatically discount movies made by disney. Do you not realize how many other studios are owned by Disney? Like Dimension and Miramax that helped this one director make three different movies....ya know... what his name....oh yea Kevin Smith. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

Ok I can't really go along with this one. While I admit he's been in his fair share of good movies...here are a few less than wonderful ones to refresh your memory.
Cry-Baby
Nick of Time
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
The Ninth Gate
The Astronaut's Wife
There are more but that proves the point lol.

FEAR AND LOATHING was great lol.

Similar to Ed Wood, Blow, or 21 Jump Street LOL

Why don't they make the ride we all want to see, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride?

Hey I'll go on record and say the full trailer isn't bad at all. I'm under the opinion that the movie could be a lot of fun if done with the right tone. Kill myself? I think that's extreme.
Yeah, The trailer surprised me a little.
The whole undead pirate moonlight disease is a nice touch.
Since we are on the subject of pirates...
A pirate walks into a pub with a steering wheel down the front of his pants and walks up to the bar.
The barkeep looks at him and says,"does'nt that hurt?"
The pirate looks down at his crotch and replies, "Arrrrr... They DRIVIN' ME NUTS!"
*Ba-da-bump* Thank you, thank you, I'll be performing here all week...

I'm expecting silly, campy fun. The presence of Gore Verbinski, who did an awesome job with The Ring, offsets the unfortunate presence of Jerry Bruckheimer, who I'm convinced is incapable of producing a good movie. In any case, I want to see Johnny Depp kick Orlando Bloom's pansy elven ass all over the seven seas. I realize that won't happen but I can dream, can't I?
Jessica

Orlando Bloom is SOOO NOT a pansy. The kid had a broken back and was told he would never walk again like a year before doing the Lord of the Rings.. plus he is super dreamy.

Orlando Bloom rules. Speaking as a heterosexual man, I would totally have sex with that guy.
But he has to wear the Legolas wig. Then it's on.

My reputation will be blown here (if indeed I ever had one) but this is gonna be Disney's comeback flick, unless something gets screwed up in post-production (which for a flick plauged by mysterious accidents is still possible). If nothing else, it looks great visually and the casting was dead on. I, for one, can't wait to see it...
OK, the shooting range is open for business...

The ride really creeped me out. I found nothing about their animatronic swashbuckling amusing. Of course, there was this broken parot on one pirates shoulder, and seeing theat it was a machine made me feel a little better. Then one of the pirates killed my father. I'll never forget that...

I feel this. You know what's an even scarier ride? SMURF MOUNTAIN at King's Dominion! I swear they got rid of it because it was so scary! The smurfs are like five feet tall and Smurfette was turned up way too loud so all you ever heard was this ominous wailing " I like Ice Smurfing.. It's really smurfy..." Gargamel's castle was like a vacation after that.. (He's only like a foot taller than the smurfs)

They got rid of that ride? I remember that one. Well, between that and my high school being torn down to build a Wal-Mart, I have nothing left of my youth.

I don't know what was more terrifying. Smurf Mountain or my parents forcing me on the Rebel Yell at the tender age of 10. Hey, I just didn't like roller coasters.
Is Smurf Mountain really gone? What did they put up in it's stead?

You know, I'm not sure. I haven't been there since "the episode" with Smurfette. Someone told me it was gone. Which is ok, cos it smelled like pee. Probably because it was so scary.

They put up Volcano: The Blast Coaster. If you look closely, it's the same mountain. They just hunted down all the Smurfs and drove them from the land. Very sad. Smurf Mountain was a classic. I lost my virginity there. I went back and looked for it, and found it off to the side of the one cave exit. So I guess I didn't lose it at all.
Not Smurf Mountain (http://www.kingsdominion.com/attractions_rides_featured.jsp?id=528)

Amen. Depp tops the list, and the director, Geoffrey Rush, Bloom, And Kiera, Sweet Kiera (http://danger-seekers.com/hallofhot/keira.htm)
Plus, the writers are exstatic about how well their script is being done, something that just doesn't happen all that often on something like this. I think this movie's gonna rock.

I saw it and cried. It made Johnnys role in Blow look like he was doing Sesame Street.
