Up here in the frozen tundra of Canada, the NHL playoffs are a time of great joy.
I am curious about two things:
1) Who's watching the playoffs?
2) Any predictions?
While I am a Maple Leaf fan, I feel that it will be the Red Wings that come out on top again this year.

I do, just to see Ottawa been overruled... (sorry, I'm from Montreal, Canadians fan...) As Gilmour went to Toronto, Maples Leafs are ok...
But I'll pronost the Wilds...

I hate hockey. But if the Ducks sweep the Red Wings, I'll pay attention, at least during Sports Center.

Man Chris, how can you hate hockey? Aside from football season, hockey playoffs are the best time of the year. Lucky for me, that takes up pretty much the whole year. Woo-hoo. At least you got it right and want Detroit to lose. Go Avalanche!

Hate... hockey? This does not compute...
Go leafs.

Screw the Avs. Sit back and watch the Wings pull 4 in a row.

Well, I was brought up on the Flyers, and even though I actually disowned them for the past 2 seasons, I was quite excited for them this year. Of course that dream has come to another screaching halt, so i'll just watch a few of the last games, not really rooting for anyone.

I'm a Leafs fan but the Flyers are outplaying them so much. Flyers should win the series.
I can't believe Detroit is out of the playoffs now.

3rd OT Baby!!! Oh yeah, I was screaming last night and woke up everyone in the dorm, including an irrate RA. Nice saves by both goalies though. Gotta hand it to your Leafs goalie, he really gave the Flyers a run for their money, deflecting over 70 shots.

Well, 0 in a row for the Wings is pretty close to 4 in a row. Go Avalanche!

I love overtime games. That's what hockey is all about. Everything on the line, winner takes all. The past two games between Philly and Toronto have been steller. I'm past the point of caring who wins, all I want now is more good hockey.

Nah, they just get in the way of the NBA playoffs. Plus, they last like 6 months.
I'm okay with hockey if I go--it's fun in person--but on TV, I don't dig it much.
HOWEVER, how great is it that the storied Detroit Red Wings got SWEPT by the Disney Mighty Ducks? Think about that--the 'Wings won it all last year, right? And now they got beaten in 4 straight by a team that's based on a movie, and has a mascot called "Wild Wing."
It's like the Yankees getting taken down by the Bad News Bears. I love when things like this happen. NOW I'm a hockey fan. Until Sunday when the Lakers play, anyway.

Up in Canada, we have a local sports channel which is known for it's hockey coverage. All five regular analysts predicted that the Wings would win in four or five games but one guest analyst went against the grain and predicted that the Ducks would win. That guest analyst was a monkey.
I find that funny.

Being from Detroit, I guess I'm supposed to be devastated that the Red Wings lost. Frankly, I'm glad I don't have to sit through 15 more games with my retard sports fan roommates.
It just seems so meaningless to me.....watching a bunch of dudes chase a ball or puck around a field or rink and then acting like it means something because of all the time you've invested as a fan. BOOOOOOOOOOO.........

I am a big fan of both Philly and Toronto however the leafs have 100% of my support in this series just because I really want to see Doug Gilmour playing for the Leafs in the second round. Any Toronto fan will remember the great run Gilmour had with the leafs in the early to mid 90's. Beyond that I always like to see the underdog win.

Underdog? Anaheim is definetly the underdogs of the league. I'd love to see them get somewhere in the playoffs this year.

I'm a Devils fan, so its been a good playoff so far. i think they can make a good run this year. last year the nets used up all of new jerseys luck. hopefully this year there will be enough to go around (the nets gotta do well enough to keep Kidd around though).
I hope both 4-5 series go 7 games (canucks already forced game seven so its up to Toronto tonight). Philly has really dominated but there is still life in toronto as long as Belfour is in net.

Yeah, not to mention all the Flyer's injuries which will hurt big time later on.

I didn't think they'd do it but the Leafs managed to force a game 7. Good effort by both teams tonight.
