View Full Version : The Dialouge Game

Ok, I got this idea from RATM on another thread.
This will work just like the guess the quote game but with a twist. The person that starts will give a quote of dialouge between TWO people and the and the name of the movie, then the MPS.com users will try and guess who the characters are that say it.
Example: </font><blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr />
"At the end of Jedi, the most discriminating episode, Vader takes off his mask to reveal a feeble, crusty old white man. They tryin to tell us that inside, we all wants to be white!"
"Well, isn't that true?"
This quote is from CHASING AMY.
[/ QUOTE ]
That is an example of what the first person would post. The second person would post something like this:
</font><blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr />
Hooper X and Banky Edwards
[/ QUOTE ]
Then we would have to wait for the first person to confirm the answer and then the next person would post.
Ok, to start us out:
"Take care of him your way!"
"Ok... what way is my way?"
"Pick up that rock and throw it at his head."
"Ok... my way is not very sportsman-like."
This is from THE PRINCESS BRIDE.

I don't know the little dudes name either, but I am going to pre-wreck this thread by saying "My name is Inneudo Montoya, you kill my father, prepare to die."

Crusade! I love a good crusade!
Lancelot: We were in the nick of time. You were in great peril.
Sir Galahad: I don't think I was.
Lancelot: Yes, you were. You were in terrible peril.
Sir Galahad: Look, let me go back in there and face the peril.
Lancelot: No, it's too perilous.
Sir Galahad: Look, it's my duty as a knight to sample as much peril as I can.
Lancelot: No, we've got to find the Holy Grail. Come on!
Sir Galahad: Oh, let me have just a little bit of peril?
Lancelot: No. It's unhealthy.
Sir Galahad: I bet you're gay.
Lancelot: No, I'm not.

Count Rugen: Yes.
Inigo Montoya: Power too. Promise me that.
[slices Count Rugen's other cheek]
Count Rugen: All that I have and more. Please...
Inigo Montoya: Offer me everything I ask for.
Count Rugen: Any thing you want.
Inigo Montoya: I want my father back, you son of bitch.

Prince Humperdinck: Tyrone, you know how much I love watching you work. But I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder, and Guilder to frame for it. I'm swamped!
Count Rugen: Get some rest. If you haven't got your health, you haven't got anything.

Westley: No. To the pain.
Humperdink: I don't think I'm quite sure I'm familiar with that phrase.
Westley: I'll explain and I'll use small words so that you'll be sure to understand, you warthog faced buffoon!!!

Inigo Montoya: Are you the Miracle Max who worked for the king all those years?
Miracle Max: The King's stinking son fired me, and thank you so much for bringing up such a painful subject. While you're at it, why don't you give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice on it? We're closed!

Inigo Montoya: I donna suppose you could espeed things up??
Westley: If you're in such a hurry, you could lower a rope or a tree branch or find something useful to do.
Inigo Montoya: I could do that. I have some rope up here, but I do not think you would accept my help, since I am only only waiting around to kill you.
Westley: That does put a damper on our relationship.

(character two) "Let's see your skills, and we'll talk of payment later."
(character one) "Fine. But if you like what you see, pay me double."
