Eminem is one of the greatest, most brilliant artists going today. Psychofiend, much as I hate to berate a fellow Pumpkins man, you're just all kinds of wrong. His lyrics are not hate, at least not the way you're thinking. Don't have quite the words to describe him; guess that's what makes him so great.

ratm, I'll give you the first album thing. That was one of the greatest recordings of all time. However, his stuff is not all the same after that. After the first one, he got even madder, racier. And he won more Grammies, although I think that's more of a commentary on how [censored] up the Grammies can be, and not how brilliant he is, or is still becoming.

Bottom line, Eminem is great. I'll buy all his music.

Okay, Eminem is just another in a line of rappers that took the hardcore detroit style, watered it down just enough to still be considered "contraversial" and became a star. He was turned from an absolute nothing into a star by Dre who was wise enough to know our racist society will let a rapper get away with misogyny and murder as long as he's white.

I bought and liked his "first" album, Shady, and half of Marshal Mathers, but more and more of the second album was just him bitching about the media and other rapers he got "beef" wit. Picture the first time my client said about my work "That s*it is sick", and I got really offended. I found out later that "sick" means really good. It's a perversion of the language, but I tolerate it, just like I tolerate their crappy music most of the time.
